Derby is a city in Lucas County, Iowa, United States. 90 people lived here in 2020, when the census was taken. It was founded in 1872.[1] The city is about 0.26 square miles big.

2020 Census
[change | change source]During the 2020 census, there were 90 people, organized into 37 households. This is 21.7% less than at the 2010 census. The median age was 41.0 years.
The breakdown by age was 28.9% under 18 years, 48.9% from 18 to 65, and 22.2% over 65 years. Males make up 46.7% and females make up 53.3% of the people. The breakdown by race was 94.4% Whites (non-Latino), 4.4% Hispanics or Latinos, and 1.1% others.
Of the 37 households, 29 were family households, 20 had a married couple living together, and 14 had children under 18. The average household size is 2.43 people. Of these households, 86.5% were owner-occupied, while 13.5% were renters.[3][4]
