Ruth Westheimer

Ruth Westheimer (born Karola Ruth Siegel; June 4, 1928 – July 12, 2024) was an American sex therapist, media personality and writer. She was better known as Dr. Ruth. She is best known for her radio show Sexually Speaking during the 1980s. She worked for Planned Parenthood in the 1950s. She also wrote many books.

Westheimer was born in Wiesenfeld, near Würzburg Germany. She was Jewish and moved to Switzerland as a child. She moved to New York City in 1956.[1]

Westheimer died at her home in New York City on July 12, 2024 at the age of 96.[2]
