Rocky Balboa is a fictional professional boxer from the Rocky film series played by Sylvester Stallone.

History[edit]

While trapped in the Shelbyville Zoo, Bart Simpson used Roman numerals on the doors and thought of the Rocky films—specifically Rocky V and Rocky II. By combining them in his reasoning, he concluded the correct exit was Rocky VII: Adrian's Revenge, and used it to escape before the tigers and pursuing children could catch him."Lemon of Troy"</ref>

Rocky appeared in the arcade game Rocky III vs. Clara Peller, found at Captain Blip's Zapateria. Player 1 was Rocky, while player 2 was Clara Peller. The two characters moved back and forth inside a boxing ring while continuously spouting the same bits of dialogue, with Rocky saying "You ain't so bad", and Clara Peller asking "Where's the beef?"[1]

A statue of Rocky Balboa was outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia. Homer took a selfie with it.[2]

He was also one of the many people on "Ned's List of Laudable Lefties".[3]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The "You ain't so bad" quote is from Rocky's rematch fight with Clubber Lang in Rocky III.

The Rocky statue is a real statue at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
