Native Oberon Operating System

Simple DirectMedia Layer (www.libsdl.org) bindings for Oberon family languages: Modula-2 and Oberon-2 (XDS), Active Oberon (OPCL, ETH Oberon) and Component Pascal (BlackBox Component Builder). Supported SDL version 1.2.15 (stable).

Here you can find both an Oberon V4 system for Linux (x86) and a collection of Oberon V4 sources for various other platforms. Oberon V4 was implemented at ETH Zurich for several platforms. Binaries can be found on their server[1] and on the one of the University of Linz[2] where Mössenböck's group did further development after he left ETH and the Group at ETH concentrated on System 3. Oberon-2 language revival

Oberon2 Studio is a set of tools, including, but not limited to, editor, compiler and linker for the Oberon-2 programming language on Microsoft® Windows® OS.

OOC is an Oberon-2 development platform. It consists of an optimizing compiler, a number of related tools, a set of standard library modules, and a reference manual.

XDev is open and free set of compilers, additional tools, libraries and design patterns for cross-platform and embedded development in modular programming languages. You can develop projects in several languages at once. You can develop for different platforms, such as retro and new. A goal of this project is not only produce a small funny game. It demonstates the power of Oberon technologies, shows how a game can be written to be launched under such different platforms. Portability is a strong feature of Oberons, and I use it, - Dash has portable game code (common for defferent platforms, written in Oberon-1) and non-portable layers to a hardware platform. Dash shows the portability and cross-platform in widely look, more than mainstream solutions can propose us. Yes, I believe that Oberon technologies are very perspective for future.

Meccala is a web blog system wo build a Tiny MVC (like struts.)to meet the requirement for our project, this kind of implementation performs perfect in our project.

An Oberon-2 compatible source code translator which will produce C++ or Object-C files from Oberon input files. Extensions will be included to allow infix operator definitions, enumerated types, complex numbers, strings, and OS interface modules.

Ofront+ is a tool that translates programs in Oberon dialects into semantically equivalent C programs. Full error analysis is performed on the Oberon input program and in case of no errors up to three files are generated as output. Ofront+ does not invoke the C compiler or linkage editor. This may be done in separate shell scripts or make files and is inherently dependent on the C compiler and linkage editor being used. Although normally not read by the user, the C code generated by Ofront+ is kept as readable as possible, nicely formatted, should not produce any C compiler error messages or warnings and is tuned for efficient execution. In fact, an Oberon program translated by Ofront+ can be expected to execute as fast and read as well as an equivalent hand-coded C program. Ofront+ is based on Ofront by Software Templ OEG. This compiler tries to detect pieces of code in a program that are not dependant and compile them in a way that the resulting code can be execuded in parallel on a runtime system built to support this. Only an experiment for my thesis.
