lmbench is a suite of simple, portable, ANSI/C microbenchmarks for UNIX/POSIX. In general, it measures two key features: latency and bandwidth. lmbench is intended to give system developers insight into basic costs of key operations.

Collectl is a light-weight performance monitoring tool capable of reporting interactively as well as logging to disk. It reports statistics on cpu, disk, infiniband, lustre, memory, network, nfs, process, quadrics, slabs and more in easy to read format.

FurMark is an intensive benchmarking tool designed to evaluate the performance of graphics cards using fur rendering algorithms. This tool is particularly effective in generating high workloads that can significantly increase the temperature of the GPU, making it a useful utility for testing the stability and stress tolerance of graphics cards. By simulating demanding rendering tasks, FurMark serves as a comprehensive test for assessing the robustness and thermal performance of GPUs under extreme conditions. FurMark from Geeks3D is a free OpenGL benchmark tool for Windows that can also be used to check the stability of a graphics card thanks to a built-in stress test. FurMark rendering is designed to overheat the GPU making it a viral-like stability and stress test tool (also called GPU burner) for the graphics card.

netstress is a client/server utility designed to stress & benchmark network activity of a given ethernet device or path using simulated (random) real world data and packet sizes instead of fixed data and packet sizes.

WebInject is a tool for automated testing of web applications and web services. It can be used to test system components with HTTP interfaces, as a test harness to create a suite of functional and regression tests, or for service-level monitoring.

MuninLite is a single Bourne Shell script that implements the Munin protocoll as well as some Linux specific plugins. The motivation for developing MuninLite was to provide a simple Munin Node, using inetd on systems without a full featured Perl.

pipeworks is a benchmarking tool for pipelines that is very similar to pipemeter. It writes its stdin to its stdout, while reporting the data flow rate to stderr. It features adjustable block size and bandwidth limiting capabilities.

MRTG-PME is a set of performance monitoring extensions to MRTG that allow historical graphing of OS performance data (CPU, memory, paging, disk, etc.) for Linux, Solaris and BSD. With no SNMP required, PME is arguably more secure than standard MRTG.

NetChat is a network version of the "chat" utility that comes with PPP. It is a general purpose network "conversations" tool, designed for network testing. It can also be used for (very) quick setup of a server for a new protocol.

"Traffic" is ethernet/ip traffic generator. The tool consists of server and GUI application. Typical configuration is to have at least 2 servers and 1 or more client machines, where the servers are controlled and results are displayed.

High Performance Computing test

This project is to develop a versatile benchmark for High Performance Computing (HPC) network environments, currently the Linux-based Beowulf systems. The goal is to examine the TCP/UPD/MPI communications and their impact to system kernel.

A tool for Multi-Router Traffic Graphing software, MRTG Spike Remover removes anomalous "spike" data from the MRTG logs in order to faciliatate reading the parts of the graph important to the surveyor, leaving out irrelevant data outliers.

This is a simple Port Flooder written in Python 3.2 Use this tool to quickly stress test your network devices and measure your router's or server's load. Features are available in features section below. Moihack DoS Attack Tool was the name of the 1st version of the program. Moihack Port-Flooder is the Reloaded Version of the program with major code rewrite and changes. Code is much smaller in size now - from about 130 pure lines of codes to 35 lines only. To run it you must have Python 3.2 or newer installed.Tested this on Windows,but guess it will work in Linux also,since there are not any OS specific lines in the code. This tool was only written for personal tests and usage!
