ThanCad is a 2dimensional cad, with limited 3d support and raster inclusion capability and emphasis in engineering. It is being written in Python and since it uses the Tkinter library, it is platform independent.

A robotic DIY styrofoam cutter consisting of one rotational and two translational axes. It cuts a variety of shapes out of styrofoam-like materials using a hot wire. This project documents the necessary hardware and software parts. Buildes is an integrated development environment that assists the user in creating building information. It reads a text (session) file from which it compiles the information. It then allows the user to browse, analyze and export the resulting building knowledge. The compilation system is written in pure Python. The building components created are rendered in PythonOCC. The GUI is written using PyQt.

QCAD is an application for computer aided drafting (CAD) in two dimensions (2D). With QCAD you can create technical drawings such as plans for buildings, interiors, mechanical parts or schematics and diagrams. QCAD works on Windows, Mac OS X and many Linux and Unix Systems.

CSGCAD is a CAD application written in Qt/C++ that renders 3D graphics using a constructive solid geometry engine based on GLSL. This application is still far from completion, help is welcome

Line-drawing and polygon-filling rasterization algorithms in Java. Simple 2D package and more complex 3D package with Z-buffering. Texture mapping not supported at the moment. Color interpolation for lines, Gouraud shading for polygons fully supported. Floating point vertex coordinates, not integer. Pixel-level aliasing, not endpoint aliasing. Doesn't use Bresenham line style! Works with all Java versions. No external dependencies. Suitable for study in academic institutions, especially as related to line-drawing accuracy. Particular attention to detail concerning chopping of accumulation errors, using a cast from 64 bit to 32 bit strategy, in the interval [1.0,2.0). Individual pixel errors with overlapping polygons or line segments are about one in a billion, but I can't reproduce any errors at the moment by using random number generation with tens of millions of cases. Emphasis not only on correctness, but also on performance for real-world use or hardware implementation.
