smartmontools contains utility programs (smartctl, smartd) to control/monitor storage systems using the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology System (S.M.A.R.T.) built into most modern ATA and SCSI disks. It is derived from smartsuite.

This is an opensource project for the calculation of the mathematical constant Pi. If you are a mathematician or programer please contribute ideas or code for this project. Non professionals are also welcome to contribute.

ClusterIt is a collection of clustering tools to allow simple administration of groups of UNIX machines. It can also be used to facilitate parallel shell scripting, and compiling.

MooseFS (MFS) is a fault tolerant, highly performing, scaling-out, network distributed file system. It spreads data over several physical servers which are visible to the user as one resource. BSPonMPI is an implementation of the BSPlib standard on top of MPI. Both MPI and BSPlib are API's of communication routines meant for parallel computing, but BSPlib is easier to learn and its performance easier to predict.

The Corosync Cluster Engine is a Group Communication System with additional features for implementing high availability within applications. The project provides four C application programming interface features. A closed process group communication model with extended virtual synchrony guarantees for creation of replicated state machines. A simple availability manager that restarts the application process when it has failed. A configuration and statistics in-memory database that provides the ability to set, retrieve, and receive change notifications of information. A quorum system that notifies applications when a quorum is achieved or lost. Our project is used as a high-availability framework by projects such as Pacemaker and Asterisk. We are always looking for developers or users interested in clustering or participating in our project.

Project name: frecl (free remote control). This project is devoted to a problem of remote controlling PC. (For an example: management of several IR-remote controls of the several computers incorporated into a network, using one or more IR-receivers.).

Queue is a load-balancing system popular in the 2000s that lets users control their remote jobs in an intuitive, transparent and nearly seamless way. Development versions feature job migration with and without kernel support. GNU Queue continues to be downloaded despite being decommissioned by the FSF in favor of the newer GNU Parallel project. Older versions of the code are archived here on Sourceforge and some later versions on GNU Savannah.
