Kubernetes sometimes deprecates API versions. Most notably, a large number of deprecations happened in the 1.16 release. This is fine, and it's a fairly easy thing to deal with. However, it can be difficult to find all the places where you might have used a version that will be deprecated in your next upgrade. You might think, "I'll just ask the api-server to tell me!", but this is fraught with danger. If you ask the API-server to give you deployments.v1.apps, and the deployment was deployed as deployments.v1beta1.extensions, the API-server will quite happily convert the API version and return a manifest with apps/v1. This is fairly well outlined in the discussion of this issue. -

An advanced command-line tool designed to brute force directories and files in webservers, AKA web path scanner. Wordlist is a text file, each line is a path. About extensions, unlike other tools, dirsearch only replaces the %EXT% keyword with extensions from -e flag. For wordlists without %EXT% (like SecLists), -f | --force-extensions switch is required to append extensions to every word in wordlist, as well as the /. To use multiple wordlists, you can separate your wordlists with commas. Example: wordlist1.txt,wordlist2.txt. Default values for dirsearch flags can be edited in the configuration file: default.conf. The thread number (-t | --threads) reflects the number of separated brute force processes. And so the bigger the thread number is, the faster dirsearch runs. By default, the number of threads is 30, but you can increase it if you want to speed up the progress. -

cheat.sh is a compact, network-accessible cheat-sheet service that serves concise examples and usage notes for hundreds of shell commands, programming languages, and tools via a simple HTTP interface. You can query it from the terminal (for example curl cht.sh/rsync or curl cheat.sh/ls) or browse the web front page; it also supports a shorthand hostname (cht.sh) and provides both online and standalone/local installation modes. CFSSL
Cloudflare's PKI and TLS toolkit
CFSSL is CloudFlare's PKI/TLS swiss army knife. It is both a command line tool and an HTTP API server for signing, verifying, and bundling TLS certificates. It requires Go 1.12+ to build. Note that certain linux distributions have certain algorithms removed (RHEL-based distributions in particular), so the golang from the official repositories will not work. Users of these distributions should install go manually to install CFSSL. You can set the GOOS and GOARCH environment variables to have Go cross compile for alternative platforms; however, cfssl requires cgo, and cgo requires a working compiler toolchain for the target platform. The csr is the client's certificate request. The -ca and -ca-key flags are the CA's certificate and private key, respectively. By default, they are ca.pem and ca_key.pem. The -hostname is a comma separated hostname list that overrides the DNS names and IP address in the certificate SAN extension. -

Hilbish is an extensible shell designed to be highly customizable. It is configured in Lua and provides a good range of features. It aims to be easy to use for anyone but powerful enough for those who need it. The motivation for choosing Lua was that it's simpler and better to use than an old shell script. It's fine for basic interactive shell uses, but that's the only place Hilbish has shell script; everything else is Lua and aims to be infinitely configurable. Hilbish is configured and scripted in the Lua programming language. This removes all the old, ugly things about Shell script and introduces everything good about Lua, including other languages (Fennel, Lua derivatives). Hilbish provides the user with proper menus for completions and history usage. Want to see your previous commands? Hit Ctrl-R. Hilbish offers a bunch of features to make your interactive shell experience rich. Things like syntax highlighting and hinting available via the Lua API. -

A command line tool to download Android applications directly from the Google Play Store by specifying their package name (an initial one-time configuration is required) PlaystoreDownloader is a tool for downloading Android applications directly from the Google Play Store. After an initial (one-time) configuration, applications can be downloaded by specifying their package name. There are two ways of getting a working copy of PlaystoreDownloader on your own computer: either by using Docker or by using directly the source code in a Python 3 environment. In both cases, the first thing to do is to get a local copy of this repository, so open up a terminal in the directory where you want to save the project and clone the repository. Apart from valid Google Play Store credentials, the only requirement of this project is a working Python 3 (at least 3.7) installation and pipenv (for dependency management). -

Electron Packager
Customize and package your Electron app with OS-specific bundles
Electron Packager is a command line tool and Node.js library that bundles Electron-based application source code with a renamed Electron executable and supporting files into folders ready for distribution. For creating distributables like installers and Linux packages, consider using either Electron Forge (which uses Electron Packager internally), or one of the related Electron tools, which utilizes Electron Packager-created folders as a basis. Note that packaged Electron applications can be relatively large. A zipped, minimal Electron application is approximately the same size as the zipped prebuilt binary for a given target platform, target arch, and Electron version (files named electron-v${version}-${platform}-${arch}.zip). Building an Electron app for the Windows target platform requires editing the Electron.exe file. Currently, Electron Packager uses node-rcedit to accomplish this. -

Symbolic execution tool
Manticore helps us quickly take advantage of symbolic execution, taint analysis, and instrumentation to analyze binaries. Parts of Manticore underpinned our symbolic execution capabilities in the Cyber Grand Challenge. As an open-source tool, we hope that others can take advantage of these capabilities in their own projects. We prioritized simplicity and usability while building Manticore. We used minimal external dependencies and our API should look familiar to anyone with exploitation or reversing background. If you have never used such a tool before, give Manticore a try. Manticore comes with an easy-to-use command line tool that quickly generates new program “test cases” (or sample inputs) with symbolic execution. Each test case results in a unique outcome when running the program, like a normal process exit or crash (e.g., invalid program counter, invalid memory read/write). -

Nativefier
Make any web page a desktop application
Nativefier is a command-line tool designed to create a desktop app for any web site with minimal configuration. Apps are wrapped by Electron (using Chromium under the hood) in an OS executable (.app, .exe, etc) for use on Windows, macOS and Linux. Nativefier will try to determine the app name, and well as lots of other options. If desired, these options can be overwritten. For example, to override the name, nativefier --name 'My Medium App' 'medium.com' Read the API documentation or run nativefier --help to learn about other command-line flags usable to configure the packaged app. For a list of build commands contributed by the nativefier community take a look at the CATALOG.md file. Nativefier is also usable from Docker. You can pass Nativefier flags, and mount volumes to provide local files. -

Notcurses

A library facilitating complex TUIs on modern terminal emulators, supporting vivid colors, multimedia, threads, and Unicode to the maximum degree possible. Things can be done with Notcurses that simply can't be done with NCURSES. It is furthermore fast as shit. What it is not: a source-compatible X/Open Curses implementation, nor a replacement for NCURSES on existing systems. Notcurses abandons the X/Open Curses API bundled as part of the Single UNIX Specification. For some necessary background, consult Thomas E. Dickey's superb and authoritative NCURSES FAQ. As such, Notcurses is not a drop-in Curses replacement. Wherever possible, Notcurses makes use of the Terminfo library shipped with NCURSES, benefiting greatly from its portability and thoroughness. Notcurses opens up advanced functionality for the interactive user on workstations, phones, laptops, and tablets, possibly at the expense of e.g. some industrial and retail terminals.
