Open Source Data Visualization Software

CanFestival focuses on providing an ANSI-C platform independent CANOpen stack that can be implemented as master or slave nodes on PCs, Real-time IPCs, and Microcontrollers. A WxPython based CanOpen Object Dictionary editor GUI is also provided.

This is an opensource project for the calculation of the mathematical constant Pi. If you are a mathematician or programer please contribute ideas or code for this project. Non professionals are also welcome to contribute.

Microcontroller (AVR) based standalone digital light controllers ("dimmers"). The "Diamond" series supports 20 channels (TRIAC, FET, 0-10V, relay) with automatic fading, 20 scenes, 21 timers, IR remote, LCD, DMX-512 interface, global standby & more.

The ADQ project aims to provide device drivers and a terminal based data acquisition and control program for the Meilhaus ME26 data acquisition board and the Meilhaus ME53 relay boards. The data can also be displayed in real time with a Web page.

This is a work in progress split-flap display. Each module can flip between 40 unique characters: letters, numbers, and a few symbols. Multiple modules fit perfectly alongside each other to build bigger displays. The primary design goal was to make something that's possible to fabricate at home in small or single quantities and can be customized and built by an intermediate hobbyist at a reasonable price. This meant using widely available materials and avoiding any tooling with a high upfront cost. Following that philosophy, the design uses store-bought vinyl stickers for the letters, is driven by an ubiquitous and cheap 28BYJ-48 stepper motor, and uses common PVC ID badge cards cut to shape for the flaps (though custom die-cut flaps are also available). Even the enclosure, spool, and gears, which are all made from laser-cut MDF, can be easily ordered online.

"DSO" is a Digital Signal Oscilloscope. My DSO will be connected via the USB to the PC. All software to operate the DSO is developed within this project.

This project is no longer active! A visual modelling tool for embedded software systems, e.g. for automotive applications. Main features include: hierarchical design of system functions, mapping to ECUs, fault analysis. Written in C++ on Windows.

GXSM -- Gnome X Scanning Microscopy: A multi-channel image and vector-probe data acquisition and visualization system designed for SPM techniques (STM,AFM..), but also SPA-LEED/LEED/LEEM data analysis. A plug-in interface allows any user add-on data-processing and special hardware and instrument support. Latest: NC-AFM and related explorative methods as SQDM can be configured. High-Speed external PAC-PLL hardware option with digital DSP link. Based on several hardware options it supports a commercially available DSP hardware and provided also Open Source Code for all the low level signal processing tasks and instrument controls in a most flexible and adaptable manner. This project is about the graphical simulation of pipelining mechanism in Central Processor Unit. It includes (1) INES Components package created in Delphi, which allows fast building of simple simulators; (2) INES - simulator created with this package.
