    AlphaGenesis

    A retro style video game engine for RPGs and adventure games.

    The AlphaGenesis project aims to create both a high quality, strategy oriented, SNES style turn based RPG, and an engine for building top down perspective 2D games. I have been writing the engine in my spare time over the past few years. It currently contains a game client and map editor. It is mostly complete as an engine, but there are a few features I still plan to add. AlphaGenesis is being developed with the intention of being cross platform and easily extensible, so that people without much programming experience will be able to add content to games with little effort. I am pushing to get a playable demo out by the end of January 2014.

    Multi-threaded game engine for Android

    AGE is a multi-threaded game engine for Android with OpenGL ES2 shader-based rendering. In-depth GL knowledge isn't necessary to start; use the OBJ loader to import models from Blender and elsewhere, attach textures, and start rendering! Threads run different activities, e.g. initialization, framerate, timer, game cycle. Apartment model with message passing. The drawing cycle is inverted from typical game loops. Framerate has a dedicated timer, and SurfaceView is in on-demand rendering mode. Game Objects (GOs) opt-in to services by implementing the "marker" interface for each one it wants. GOs enter the system via Install Pipeline, an asynchronous "standard" implementation that keys on the marker interfaces and performs the "protocol" for that marker. There are also Event and Uninstall pipelines. Reference by name is encouraged. A trip through the pipeline includes a Bind Name List; allows GO to connect to interfaces in other GOs on the other End.

    This low cost project is a RC servo like position control of one or two geared motor(s) with a pot as angle feedback. You can send the arduino microcontroller a value from 0 to 1023 and the arduino will control the motor speed and direction to reach your target value. The PID algorithm will insure that the motor will not get into hold vibrations if the pot has some influences. This article will describe where you have to take attentions and what you have to setup to get the best results. The project will help you to connect any arduino motor shield or other H-Bridges to the controller because it is open source and the output pins can therefor be changed as you like. You can upload a better modified version and improove this article by contacting me. With some pin changes you can port this code to other arduino boards.
