Open Source ChromeOS GIS Software

GeoTools is an open source (LGPL) Java code library which provides standards compliant methods for the manipulation of geospatial data. GeoTools is an Open Source Geospatial Foundation project. The GeoTools library data structures are based on Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) specifications.

At the current state, opengeodb provide geo coordinates and several other data (city name, zip) mainly for the german speaking area.

CommonMap is an open source map project, forked from OpenStreetMap by a licence problem. CommonMap needs original softwares tuned for CommonMap. Most of software would be useful for any other open source map projects, too.

FastVersion is a Qgis plugin for data versioning in a Postgis database. This plugin provides data versioning to tables with geometry stored in postgis. It allows to create, changes and eliminate versions, and within each version , to insert, modify and eliminate elements. It is possible carry out the processes of “post” from one version to another, with conflict resolution functionality. The system uses algorithms and data structures so that information is not duplicated each time a version is created. InterMap is an Internet mapping application that allows the user to combine interactive maps from distributed Internet Map Servers in a browser. InterMap supports OpenGIS WMS and ESRI-ArcIMS and can be fully integrated with the GeoNetwork Metadata portal
