Viking is a free/open source program to manage GPS data. You can import, plot and create tracks, routes and waypoints, show OSM, Bing Aerial and other maps, geotag images, create routes using OSRM, see real-time GPS position (not in Windows), make maps using Mapnik (not in Windows), control items, etc. It is written in mostly in C (with some C++) & the GTK+3 toolkit. Viking is currently dual managed - with a corresponding Github presence at: https://github.com/viking-gps/viking Where you may find it easier to view the code and raise issues there too. -

JGPSTrackEdit
GPS track editor for editing tracks and planning (multiple) day tours
JGPSTrackEdit is a tool for editing gps tracks and planning (multiple days) tours (GPS track editor). An abritary number of tracks may be opened or created, tracks may be merged. A track may be splitted, reversed or edited (e.g. compressed and corrected). Points may be inserted or appended to a track (routing supported) or may be moved or deleted from a track. Maps of several providers are available, the default map is OpenStreetMap. Currently supported track formats: Garmin gpx route, Garmin gpx track, Garmin tcx, kml and plain txt. JGPSTrackEdit my also be used to download tile images for later offline use by smartphone apps. JGPSTrackEdit is written in the java language. Fielddata Mgr Overview This is a Python program, which means that one must install the open source freely available Python interpreter and a few required also open source, freely available modules that support the functionality of the program. The program "Fielddata Mgr", is customized for the Rick survey department, in such that it supports up to 9 chiefs, each having their own folder in one location, 2 supervisers, each with a PC on the network, and access to a main server. Each day, the .RAW file is copied to the appropriate chiefs folder and when Fielddata Mgr is run, or the reload button is clicked, all .RAW files are listed along with a long list of all job folders existing in a designated location, and a short list of frequently accessed jobs that are selected from within the long list. When a .RAW file is selected, the contents are read, interpreted, and the results displayed within the program window. For remaining information please read the info sht. -

!!! Project servers were closed in the beginning of 2012 because the project was not actual anymore (massivity using Android and iOS devices instead of "simple" mobile phones). But source codes are always available as usual !!! A simple mobile j2me/web application that provides positioning of mobile devices connected to GSM/UMTS network or via GPS and lets you share location info by SMS or email. This project also contains GeoSignature Server j2ee application.
