Engine_3D is a real-time 3D engine project grabbed from my old data. The entire 3D rendering is pure software: no OpenGL or the like, no 3D graphics card acceleration! And: Engine_3D is completely programmed in Ada. Some parts of the 3D engine, like the animated bump mapping, are still waiting to be ported to my newer 3D project, GLOBE_3D !... DOS and Linux versions available. Remarks for the DOS version: It is also a funny example of a game system almost fully in Ada, including sound driver, graphics driver, keyboard driver. The only things not in Ada there are the file system (MS-DOS), the 32-bit DOS extender (CWSDPMI) and the mouse driver. For running, I recommend DOSBox. Agar provides a base GUI framework and a standard set of widgets from which graphical applications can be built which run natively under X11, Windows, MacOS X, SDL and others. It takes advantage of texture and GPU acceleration wherever available. Agar can also attach to an existing framebuffer, SDL or OpenGL context and operate as a self-contained window-manager. It includes a standard library of general-purpose widgets, and is also designed to be extended externally. New widgets can be implemented as part of an application or library. Complex user interface elements can be realized often in few lines of code. Agar is also extensible at the low-level. The low-level API is documented such that modular drivers can be written which enable Agar applications to work seamlessly under many platforms graphics systems without any change at the application level.

Reliquarium is a unique set of four 3D geometric slider puzzles for kids, all with a Crystal Skull theme. It runs on Windows, GNU/Linux or Mac/OS-X. Reckless raiders have plundered a tomb and displaced an ancient relic. The objective is to return the relic to the center of its cubical box by rearranging the numbered blocks back into their proper order, which also represents a proper RGB coloring...Red in the X-direction, Green in the Y-direction, Blue in the Z-direction. Dragging the cursor rotates the cube for a better view angle. The mouse wheel zooms. Typing a number 1..8 selects a block to move, 0 selects the relic itself. Then use the keys {u,d,l,r,f,b} to move it. The proper command to extract the archive and maintain the directory structure is "7z x filename". These unique puzzles are spatially challenging, yet easy enough for children and will likely help with learning 3D visualization, geometry, problem solving and computer skills.
