Neuroph is lightweight Java Neural Network Framework which can be used to develop common neural network architectures. Small number of basic classes which correspond to basic NN concepts, and GUI editor makes it easy to learn and use.

Java implementation of Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCM). Implementation aims to be: small (and fast), simple to use, flexible enough to be used as a basis for other projects / libraries.

libCIGI (library for Common Image Generator Interface) is a lightweight header only library that provides interfaces for communication between CIGI hosts and image generators. Currently versions 3.0, 3.2 and 3.3 are supported as well as support for the *draft* V4.0 CIGI standard. Additional functionality to the base packet interfaces is provided through external classes so that to the packet headers have no further dependencies. Packet processing is kept simple and a couple of simple helper functions / classes are provided in CIGIGeneric.h and some other headers to support this. Helpers are provided for version interpretation and conversion of packet parameters to text. Testing is supported using the boost test framework to develop unit tests for each of the packets. Because the library is header-only it can easily support many platforms / compilers but this has not yet been tested. Note: Currently the use of bitfields in the library may cause erroneous use in some compilers.

AirTSP is also named AirTSP (TSP standing for Travel Service Provider). That project aims at providing a clean API and a simple implementation, as a C++ library, of an Airline Schedule Management System. It is intended to be used in simulated environments only: it is not designed to work in the real-world of Airline IT operations. AirTSP/AirTSP makes an extensive use of existing open-source libraries for increased functionality, speed and accuracy. In particular the Boost (C++ Standard Extensions: http://www.boost.org) library is used. AirTSP/AirTSP is the one of the components of the Travel Market Simulator (http://www.travel-market-simulator). However, it may be used in a stand-alone mode.

That project aims at providing a clean API and a simple implementation, as a C++ library, of an Airline-related Inventory Management system. That library uses the Standard Airline IT C++ object model (http://sf.net/projects/stdair).

That project aims at studying and comparing typical airline IT methods, for instance RM-related algorithms. It works from a Unix/Linux/Mac command-line, and exposes basic APIs. It is being developed in C++, with Python wrappers for some components.

The name has changed: that project has become the Airline Travel Solution Provider, AirTSP for short.

The DAMNED simulator is a Distributed And Multithreaded Neural Event-Driven simulation framework designed for Distributed Discrete Event Simulations, actually well suited for Large Scale Spiking Neural Network simulations.

FREVO is an open-source framework developed in Java to help engineers and scientists in evolutionary design or optimization tasks. The major feature of FREVO is the componentwise decomposition and separation of the key building blocks for each optimization tasks. We identify these as the problem definition, solution representation and the optimization method. This structure enables the components to be designed separately allowing the user to easily swap and evaluate different configurations and methods or to connect an external simulation tool. Japrosim is a java library for both discrete event and continuous simulation. GUI for modeling and automatic code generation are offered. An explanation module is integrated. Models are described in XML and owl for interoperability.

A Java CIGI packet stuffer which supports encoding/decoding a limited number of CIGI 3.3 packets. The library is licensed under the LGPL.

LiNNS is not just a Neural Network Simulator, but a Neural Network System - a framework which covers the full lifecycle of a neural network, from design and research till usage in an external application.

NeMo is a high-performance spiking neural network simulator which simulates networks of Izhikevich neurons on CUDA-enabled GPUs. NeMo is a C++ class library, with additional interfaces for pure C, Python, and Matlab.

Briefly said, PetriNetExec is an open-source Java library which allows you to embed Petri Nets into your Java application. Using PetriNetExec you can define places and transitions, connect them using arcs and inhibitors, define the initial marking and then fire events and see how tokens flow into the network. * PetriNetExec does not provide a GUI for editing the network nor will it provide in the near future. That is not really a feature :-) but to those of you able to cope with this news I suggest to read further; * Petri Nets are created with PetriNetExec by writing Java code and using the provided API; * PetriNetExec provides a simple yet powerful callback mechanism allowing you to actually do something when events are fired and the network status is changing. * PetriNetExec is embeddable into your Java application. This means that you can build your own application and add Petri Nets into it. * PetriNetExec is open-source.

QuCoSi is a C++ library for simulating a quantum computer. The used qubits and gates are plain vectors and matrices that can be inspected and modified easily. Its emphasis lies on readability and ease of use.

A parallel-programming framework for concurrently running large numbers of small autonomous jobs, or microthreads, across multiple cores in a CPU or CPUs in a cluster. Each microthread is conceptually similar to a task in Ada and it is much lighter weight than an operating system thread. SpikeOS was designed to handle millions of microthreads, for example in a neural network hosting millions of spiking model neurons. SpikeOS handles microthread scheduling, synchronization, distribution and communication. *** This project has been forked. NeuraNEP (sourceforge.net/projects/neuranep) represents a major update to SpikeOS. It has the same core functionality plus several enhancements, including a scripting interface. NeuraNEP is engineering-oriented, as opposed to simulation-oriented, and some features/capabilities have changed.

SPLITNEURON is a completely new approach to large-scale, biologically plausible, neural-network simulation library based on data structures and methods directly coded into database and conceived to explicitly share load on multiple machines.
