We believe that free/open source softwares are enough, we don't need pirated softwares on Windows. But most of these aren't portables, or provided by PortableApps.com due to .NET dependencies, 64-bit etc. So we provide what's missing here. This is my little "FreeDOS Floppy Disk Distribution". It is intended for computers without a CD drive or not able to boot from CD. It will work down to 8086. See xxxxxxxxx for details. Right now only the LIVE image is available. Installable coming soon.

BASIC interpreter for the 16bit PIC microcontroller 24FJ64GA002. The interpreter runs on the chip only, no compiler/tokenizer is needed. Communication with PC is done by USB-to-serial converter cable.

This project is an effort to develop open source software for all old platforms, like MSX, Commodore, AMIGA, Atari, ..... and collect technical information about old platforms, keeping the "old skool" flame alive.

Vaio DOS is the greatest DOS distribution of all the times. You may freely use it for personal purpose on a retrocomputer at your own risk. Either way, I'll appreciate knowing you have found it to be helpful, my dear friend. The distro was tested on the Sony Vaio PCG-VX88 (PCG-551L) laptop. It supports networking, USB sticks, and whatnots. Cheers!
