    Arduino library to play MOD, WAV, FLAC, MIDI, RTTTL, MP3

    Arduino library for parsing and decoding MOD, WAV, MP3, FLAC, MIDI, AAC, and RTTL files and playing them on an I2S DAC or even using a software-simulated delta-sigma DAC with dynamic 32x-128x oversampling. ESP8266 is fully supported and most mature, but ESP32 is also mostly there with built-in DAC as well as external ones. For real-time, autonomous speech synthesis, check out ESP8266SAM, a library that uses this one and a port of an ancient format-based synthesis program to allow your ESP8266 to talk with low memory and no network required. All this code is released under the GPL, and all of it is to be used at your own risk. If you find any bugs, please let me know via the GitHub issue tracker or drop me an email. The MOD and MP3 routines were taken from StellaPlayer and libMAD respectively. The software I2S delta-sigma 32x oversampling DAC was my own creation and sounds quite good if I do say so myself.

    The AR Drone is a quadrotor helicopter sold by Parrot. Parrot sells the drone as a toy controlled via a wireless device such as Ipods, Ipads, or Android based devices. Parrot advertises the toy as an advance in gaming because the control devices will project a virtual reality allowing users to play with their physical drone with an enhanced version on their controller where bullets or hot air balloons must be avoided in the virtual world. KIPR, KISS Institute for Practical Robotics is an organization that facilitates the learning of robotics programming in middle and high school students to peak an interest in computer science. To do this they hold competitions around the world called botball where students program autonomous land robots to perform various sets of tasks. KIPR, now wants to expand and leave the ground by integrating flying robots (the AR Drone) into the tasks for added interest, fun, and challenge for students.

    KinectStreamer

    Streams data from 3D cameras over a network.

    This is an application that streams data from the Microsoft Kinect or cameras like it over a network. The program is Intended to be used in robotics applications where the controller cannot use such cameras directly due to hardware/software limitations--such as lacking usb ports or appropriate drivers--or in situations where the camera is not in close proximity to the device that needs to access it. Given that the controller can accept data from over the network, another embedded controller that is able to use these kinds of cameras can be loaded with this software to send the image and depth data from the kinect over the network to the other controller. Currently, KinectStreamer can only use the libfreenect library as its driver. Support for the OpenNI driver should be rolling out soon. As well as a C++ client to the KinectStreamer server.
