A pronounceable password generator plugin for KeePass. NOTE: This project has been discontinued. It hasn't been worth it to maintain the project for a while now, so no more updates will be made to the plugin. The algorithm this plugin uses is based off FIPS-181 which was withdrawn by NIST a while back. The proliferation of password managers that seamlessly run on multiple platforms (some of which are free) has also removed almost all advantages of using randomly generated pronounceable passwords. If you have a use case for this plugin, reconsider it. If you still think using randomly generated pronounceable passwords are worth it for your use case, reconsider it some more.

Simple Software-restriction Policy
Control which folders programs can be run from.
A software policy makes a powerful addition to Microsoft Windows' malware protection. In particular, it is more effective against ransomware than traditional approaches to security. If you know about the Linux 'execute permission' bit then you'll understand what this is for. The mode of operation is somewhat different in that execute permission is granted to folders and subfolders rather than individual files, but the intention is the same, to stop undesirable or unknown software from launching unless you OK it. Additionally, it is possible to specify that certain executables (typically browsers and email clients) are run with reduced rights. This is a valuable damage-limitation measure against browser plugin vulns, etc. The protection can be turned off without a reboot whilst installing legitimate software, and will automatically reactivate after a specified time -

IBM's Software Trusted Platform Module (TPM) includes a TPM 1.2 implementation, low level demo libraries and command line tools, a TPM test suite, and proxies to connect from a TCP/IP socket to a hardware TPM. tpm4769 is the latest version, with TPM side support for OpenSSL 1.1. It scales from embedded systems with as little as 4 MB of memory to highly dynamic general-purpose workloads. Genode is based on a recursive system structure. Each program runs in a dedicated sandbox and gets granted only those access rights and resources that are needed for its specific purpose. Programs can create and manage sub-sandboxes out of their own resources, thereby forming hierarchies where policies can be applied at each level. The framework provides mechanisms to let programs communicate with each other and trade their resources, but only in strictly-defined manners. Thanks to this rigid regime, the attack surface of security-critical functions can be reduced by orders of magnitude compared to contemporary operating systems. -

The OVAL Interpreter is a freely available reference implementation that demonstrates the evaluation of OVAL Definitions. Based on a set of OVAL Definitions the interpreter collects system information, evaluates it, and generates a detailed OVAL Results file. Developed to demonstrate the usability of OVAL Definitions and to ensure correct syntax and adherence to the OVAL Schemas by definition writers, it is not a fully functional scanning tool nor an enterprise scanning tool.
