    Although it's not perfect compared to CoolEdit(Adobe Audition), it's still a good choice to edit audio files. 虽然不如 CoolEdit 完美，但仍然不失为一款很好的音频编辑工具。

    Wow!! What a great tool!! :) And, the MP3 conversion even comes out at a consistent 320 kbps...not like other encoders where the resulting kbps varies between 310 kbps and 320 kbps (I personally hate that!). The only thing about bulk MP3 conversion is that it was a bit tricky to find...had to search for that information online. For those that are about to download the program here's the trick: File > Import > Audio (to import multiple tracks in one Audacity window) File > Export Multiple *Click on options in the top to select kbps rate OR...if converting only a single track, then... File > Import > Audio File > Export *Click on "Options" underneath "Cancel" to select kbps rates Of course, you will need to download the lame encoder first (instructions included in program) Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

    The only free audio editor i know. So easy to use, such a pleasure to work in. This, together with LMMS, is all anyone needs to create there own awesome songs. Best of all, both are FREE!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

    Having used quite a few digital audio editors over the years, I really like the way Audacity nails the basics. It's got a clean, simple interface that gets out of my way, the effects (with Nyquist and VST extensibility) are great, and the keyboard commands are powerful. Thanks!

    I have used Audacity for about six years now. I think that is an extremely useful program, especially since it can use vst's now. I use it mostly for editing wav or aiff files. I would, and have recommend this to just about anybody.

    Great, and amazing program, easy, and simple to use. GUI may need work, but almost everything has hotkeys, and does almost all of your audio editing needs. There's even plugins available for auto tuning your voice both for windows, and linux (don't have a mac sorry) No doubt the best free alternative to soundbooth. I'd recommend this program anyday.

    This is one of the greatest pieces of software I've ever come across. I use it for backing up vinyl as well as making multi-track recordings. I've always had great results. It has all the editing power I've ever needed and the effects work well. It's also a very clean program. It never hangs and it never causes the computer to have any problems. I can't say enough good things about it.
