Minsky brings system dynamics and monetary modelling to economics. Models are defined using flowcharts on a drawing canvas (as are Matlab's Simulink, Vensim, Stella, etc). Minsky's unique feature is the "Godley Table", which uses double entry bookkeeping to generate stock-flow consistent models of financial flows.
Minsky is good for demonstrating mathematics too, with the most "math-like" interface in system dynamics.

I returned to studying Economics at 48 and used Minsky to "re-learn" economic fundamentals. The difference between old-school economics and reality is exponential! I recommend this software to anyone that wants to know for themselves, and I am not just referring to economics. If you use this Minsky, you will begin to understand the simplicity of the System Dynamics (SD) community vis-à-vis stocks and flows, and from there, you can model anything within this framework. Better yet, the differential equations (calculus) are running in the background and are visible with a click of the mouse via a tap at the top of your working canvas. IMHO, Minsky is a way to efficiently model complex systems in software that is relatively easy to use and doesn't have that steep of a learning curve. Besides that, the software is endorsed and developed (along with Russell / hpcoder) by "The Greatest Living Economist" professor Steve Keen. As a community, let's all try to make Minky better. It has so much potential.

I think Minsky is a promising software for explaining economics and together with lessons and articles of professor Keen on Patreon is a great tool for learning and understanding economics. Support from dr. Russel is also great.

Economics needs this better financial analysis.

Great tool helpful to understand Econometrics

A program written exclusively for understanding economic dynamics has been long overdue. Now people can see and understand the economy themselves without relying on the mainstream media!
