Terms of Service
Last updated: November 26, 2025
The legal bits are below, but here's the gist: use Smol Launch fairly, don't game votes, be honest about what you're building, and we'll do our best to help you launch great products. We're a small team rooting for the indie maker community — these terms are here to keep things fair for everyone.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Using Smol Launch means you agree to these terms. That's the deal. If something here doesn't work for you, the right move is not to use the platform rather than use it anyway and argue about it later.
2. What Smol Launch Is
Smol Launch is a weekly product launch platform. Makers submit their software products, and the community discovers, votes, and comments on them. Everything runs on weekly launch periods — products go in at the start of the week, votes accumulate, and the top products rise to the top by Sunday. It's a small, community-run thing. We like it that way.
3. Your Account
Some features require an account. When you sign up, use your real information — we're not asking for much, just enough to identify you as a person. Keep your password secure; you're responsible for anything that happens under your account. If you notice something suspicious, let us know right away at support [at] smollaunch.com.
4. Submitting Products
When you submit a product, you're telling us it's yours to submit. That means you built it (or have the rights to list it), the description and images are accurate, and nothing about the submission infringes on someone else's work. Don't submit something misleading or something that violates the law.
We review every submission before it goes live. We can approve, reject, or remove products — that's not something we do lightly, but we do need to keep the quality of launches high for everyone in the community.
5. Voting
The voting system is the heart of how Smol Launch works. Each week, real people vote for the products they genuinely like — and the rankings reflect that. One account, one vote per product. Don't create multiple accounts to inflate your numbers, don't coordinate vote rings, don't use bots or scripts. We actively watch for this stuff. If we catch it, your product gets removed and your account gets banned. Straightforward.
Comments follow the same spirit. Keep feedback genuine and on-topic. Harassment, spam, and commercial self-promotion in comments aren't welcome. We can remove comments that cross the line.
6. Intellectual Property
The platform itself — the design, code, and content we created — belongs to Smol Launch. Your content stays yours. That said, when you post something here you're giving us a license to display it, reproduce it for the platform, and use it in ways related to running and promoting the service. We're not selling your content or doing anything weird with it.
7. Things You Can't Do Here
A few clear lines. Don't use Smol Launch for anything illegal. Don't harass other users or makers. Don't submit fake or misleading product information. Don't try to mess with the security or infrastructure of the site — scraping at scale, injecting malicious code, that kind of thing. And don't impersonate someone else or claim rights to something you don't have.
Basically: act like a normal member of a community you care about.
8. Your Content, Your Responsibility
Anything you post — product descriptions, comments, profile info — is on you. We don't pre-screen every word, and we don't vouch for accuracy or quality of user-submitted content. Other users might post things you disagree with or find offensive. That comes with the territory of an open community. We'll deal with clear violations, but we can't catch everything before it happens.
9. Account Termination
We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms. We'd rather not — it's not fun for anyone — but if someone is gaming the system or causing harm to the community, we'll act. When an account is closed, your access to the service ends immediately.
10. No Warranties
Smol Launch is provided as-is. We're a small operation and we do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee the site will be available 24/7 or that everything will work perfectly all the time. Don't rely on us for anything mission-critical. The platform is a tool for discovery and community — use it with that in mind.
11. Liability
If something goes wrong — your product doesn't get the traction you hoped for, a comment upset you, the site was down during your launch window — we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages that result from using (or not being able to use) the platform. Our total liability for anything related to your use of Smol Launch is capped at what you paid us in the past 12 months, which for most users is zero because the platform is free.
12. If You Cause Us Problems
If your actions on the platform cause a legal claim against Smol Launch — because you posted something you shouldn't have, violated someone's rights, or broke these terms — you're responsible for covering the costs that result. That includes legal fees. It's not something we expect to invoke, but it's here as a backstop.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws where Smol Launch operates. If we don't immediately call out a violation, that doesn't mean we're waiving our rights — it just means we're human and don't catch everything the moment it happens.
14. Changes
We might update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before they take effect. Minor clarifications might go in without fanfare. Either way, the "last updated" date at the top will reflect when something changed. Keep using the platform after an update and you're agreeing to the new terms.
