About

Hi there! My name is Dan.

I’m a researcher and data scientist at Turquoise Health, where I write about healthcare.

Before Turquoise, I was the Director of Data Science at the Cook County Assessor’s Office, where I helped estimate the home values used to determine Cook County property taxes. And before that, I was a grad student at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, where I researched healthcare and spatial accessibility.

In my free time, I like to read, rock climb, bike, and hang out with my cat Mimi.
