- How much RAM does a borg server need to manage about 3TB of backups?
- How big of a USB disk do I need for the / partition for RasbperryPi OS with no GUI?

My stepmum just delivered my dad's genealogy stuff from the early 90s and it came with a zip floppy disk.

What do I do with a Pilot Metropolitan #fountainpen that I don't want anymore? It's a fine nib, and it does not write very well.
I've had a weird issue with my Mac mini M4 since I got it a year or so ago.
Shortly after I start using it every session, the screen will go black for a couple seconds. Any audio playing through the monitor speakers goes silent briefly. Once it does it, it's normally good until I let it go back to sleep.
I'm using HDMI. I've replaced the cables and are using high-end ones. I've also replaced the monitor (a Samsung ultra wide and with another Samsung).
Is this typical? Or should I make an appt with the Genius Bar, with the idea something is awry with my Mac mini?

Or keep current track with fedi-we-have. Be content with a few great and reasonably popular app platforms. Surely some more to come. But with a messy wire protocol that stifles #innovation and isn't future-proof.

does anyone have any advice please on how to repair little corrosion holes in the lid of a galvanised steel bin that does not involve welding? whatever it is has to be able to take *heat*.

What is considered state of the art for Endpoint management, and specifically security controls (EDR, SIEM, RMM, etc.) for BSD? There usually exists clients and agents for Linux in this space. There is an abandoned(?) Wazuh port for FreeBSD that I am aware of but I would like to know what people do.
Essentially how does one manage and monitor the security of 100’s or 1,000’s of BSD endpoints like a Windows or Linux or even Mac environment would?

• when given permission, can view events from a Google Calendar account
• without reciprocally showing Google the rest of what's in my schedule?
I'm not sure if that's a thing!
Asking because I currently have a work role where Google Calendar is the chosen one, and I don't like the idea of telling Google my personal business (more than it already knows), but sometimes it would be useful to see all of it together.
Bonus points if it lets you select event colours from a colour picker. I do like a nice colour code :-)

I'm looking for replacement label printers - we used to use Dymo 450 but they were EOL'd a while back and the new software's a bin-fire. Any subsequent Dymos have DRM'd consumables so we can't use non-Dymo labels, cos Dymo are bastards.
Ideally we want something with a wired LAN interface, or that I can hook into CUPS on a Pi to network-print given a PDF. Must be able to take 1" and 1.5" label rolls.
Anyone, please?
It seems Wordpress is the most used but at the same time I hear all the time about security issues with that.
I don't really need anything fancy.
Needs to work with PHP.
Any suggestions?

What's your favorite Linux tablet (or tablet that I can install Linux on) that you draw on? I'm specifically looking for something I can run Krita on and use for that purpose, but I would also use it for reading ebooks/comics.
It has to be fully independent, so no computer required. It has to have to have an HD screen. It has to run Linux, preferably Debian, as that's my favorite. It can't just be an android tablet unless it's possible to install Linux on it.
For context, I'm going to give up my ipad with apple pencil and want to replace that experience.
Bonus points if it comes with a stylus, but if not, please recommend one.
