              @houba yes, totally. The license is but a small tool in the toolbox. Some actors are repelled by , but still we have this open kitchen then, where they learn all the recipes and let folks explore the market for them on the cheap.

              In a separate branch I mentioned the concept of "commons based" as a way forward, where the and form the collaboration environments for cocreation..

              social.coop/@smallcircles/1163

              The chaotic commons is big. How do we foster chaordic organization, so that FOSS projects and initiatives are encouraged to pay attention beyond their direct scope, to dedicate collectively to the health of the ecosystem and key enabling technologies such as that they rely upon?

              Here comes in, which can be supported on the itself. Different than top-down enforced , which only works at small scales, self-interest is basis for participation.

              @coderjason

              I agree. To enforce spirit and word implies a level of control that the commons has / retains. SX considers "commons based" to be a state where sustainable evolution and healthy natural growth can be assured i.e. commons based is the place-to-be.

              Things start with a minimization of access to the bad actors / players, and subsequently design and deliver services that are less attractive to them. Stripping the benefits for the bad actor, not just at the software level, but at participation level i.e. the processes around software (co)creation. Change the fitness formula in the commons to work against the bad actor.

              One important aspect is Trust, and related, Trustworthiness that trust builds over time. Our hypercapitalist society is increasingly built on mistrust.

              Coding is social. What is very interesting is that social networking is much broader than social media. It constitutes *all* human interaction. So here online we should be able to have commons based social web.

                  Imagine the FSF was developing a hypothetical software license under the branding of GPLv4 that dealt with the rise of LLMs. Which of the following copyleft features would appeal?

                  Any LLM trained on GPLv4 code must also be released alongside the training data under the GPLv4.:50
                  Any code generated by a LLM trained on GPLv4 code is required to be GPLv4.:48
                  The existing suite of licenses are sufficient.:6

                      @aptitude@defcon.social não sei por que ainda estou respondendo, mas sugiro não ficar no senso comum, que aí tanto faz mesmo: o que importa é o que tem efeito prático, deixemos cada um na sua alienação então. Sobre sua questão específica, se quiser, o termo a pesquisar é :copyleft: .

                        Isso mesmo! Há outras opções de interfaces alternativas para buscadores específicos, mas SearXNG, atualmente, parece ser o mais completo metabuscador — que consegue apresentar resultados de muitos serviços e que, além de já ter inúmeras instâncias abertas, pode ainda ser auto-hospedado para maior garantia de liberdades e controle do usuário.

                          @cadusilva@bolha.one desde sempre: a não ser que me baseie em algo incompatível, o código publicado por mim é +. O primeiro que publiquei já foi com essa licença e permaneço nesse intento. Não que meus simplórios projetos pessoais façam alguma grande diferença, já que, infelizmente, não tenho feedback algum. Mas, vai que...?
