Description

In Filtration is a song that plays in Alterna Space Center: Entrance. The introduction consists entirely of percussion, including an electronic bass drum, a reversed closed hi-hat, and a palindromic audio clip that occurs several times throughout the piece. At 0:24, a bass synth introduces the main melody. This section repeat itself sixteen seconds later, with the addition of a lot more percussion. At 0:56, some of the percussion and the bass synth drop out, and an electric piano takes up the melody. At 1:04, the electronic piano and percussion play for eight more seconds with the addition of a reversed piano, before the song loops back to the 0:16 mark.

Etymology

The name of this song is a pun on "infiltration" and "filtration", which might refer to the cramped corridors Agent 3 goes through in Alterna Space Center: Entrance. Additionally, there are often filters in aquariums, fitting in with the aquatic theme of the Splatoon series.
