I was looking for a tent to extend my camping season into the winter. I also wanted it to be an excellent year round tent for the hot summers of Kentucky. The Classic Jack 140 with the stove jack came out clearly on top. I used it last week in the cold and rain. My Winnerwell medium Nomad stove worked perfectly. I went all in with the storm fly, canvas foot print and the awning additions and gear rack. This tent quality is excellent and the price was right. I couldn't be happier. This is going to make a great annex addition to our Flagstaff Epro camper. The customer service and communication is fantastic.
I have a tent one I use for stakes/etc but then got a few to use for small storage/laundry sorting -
Definitely would love a larger version too!
Don’t have room on the table? Hang it up!
When the world gets too loud, quiet it down by stepping into a Springbar tent. Am loving my Outfitter tent in bison color. I might be here for awhile….
I spent many nights trying to figure out the perfect tent for my car camping luxuries. Most of my tents are tools of practicality. This is something else. Well designed extremely heavy duty and well crafted upon first setup and conditioning. As an imported model I was initially concerned, but flawless. Perfect for me and my family of 3. I look forward to purchasing a stove once I decide on model. I can’t wait to put it to the test with some mountain summer thunder storms. Also the footprint is exceptional and can squeeze it in the bag with the tent body.
Really impressed with the design and craftsmanship! I grew up camping in a army surplus canvas tent, great memories . Now I can make life memories with my son in this canvas tent that one day will be his. We are taking it to Pyramid Lake Nevada for big cutthroat trout in April. Thank you guys! I love your companies history and I'm sure Jack's Dad is up there just so proud of his son for the Skyliner design and honouring his legacy.
Clip button on one of the poles needed replacement. Received the part and a how to video. Process was easy and smooth. Great customer service!
Received the kit fast but haven’t had good enough weather to apply. Where the needed patch will be is a 4” tear along the springbar pocke/sleeve. Thank you for following up
I’m new to the Springbar family of quality and I must say out loud, Wow every part is well made and actually withstands high winds because it’s set-up not far from the ocean. The first day of pounding the front awning held strong, as it was kept up. After I realized this wind was not stopping, I decided to bring the awning down. The Springbar tent system stayed up with no problem against the wind.
The ground mat has been placed on a plywood base with small bricks maintaining a level area. I have a very small lot with a wood fence behind me, so I knew it was important to start very level
The quality and attention to detail of these overnight duffel bags is no less than what I would expect from a tradesperson devoted to and passionate about their craft! Looking forward to our kids fighting over who gets these bags 50 years from now. There is no substitution for American handmade products and Springbar proves it. I have been saving for a canvas tent for a while, and when the time comes to purchase, Springbar has earned my family's business and we will be enjoying the beauty of this great country in the shelter of a Springbar. Thank you and God bless.
the sky liner is the best tent ever made. it is like a tiny home when set up. went camping this past weekend in eastern az and it was the unbelievable comfortable and so easy to setup. would highly recommend to anyone to buy one. made in the usa and worth everyone penny. definitely made to last !
The best tent out there. We use it for bikepacking and while it's not within the usual parameters for how most people bike/backpack, we love it so much that I don't care about the weight. For regular every day camping, it's a light tent. For back/bikepacking, you need to be somewhat of a trooper to stick with it. This is our second compact and I still have the tent my father purchased in 1972. We still use his tent and as well, we own the Skyliner. We have a large property and always set up my father's tent as a 'micro-hospital' of sorts and our Skyliner as a resting tent when we have large gatherings. Our property abuts Willamette National Forest and we're in our tents as much as our home throughout most of the year.
These tents make me feel like I'm a kid in the 70's again, every time I enter one. Something about the smell and the drape of the canvas. Cannot be bested by anything. Except maybe a vintage book. Or grandma's cookies. : )
Thank you Springbar!
I have set it up next to my Rv. 3 pressure treated 1/2” plywood panels make up a 10x10. I bought some metal pieces that are made to join wood together. (Think of half of a door hinges with the right amount of screws to keep plywood together) Also have about 50 little bricks keeping it level + off the ground. I hosed it with water this morning before work, thinking it’ll help seal some seam areas. It has great waterproofing characteristics, wow ! Again super quality. Im tinkering with a thin 3/8” building material called rebar that’s wrapped in green fiberglass. It’s very light and has great bending, arch bending qualities that will help one of my porch poles suspend where it needs to with a 1/2” alum angle piece across the top front. Can’t wait to try it with some wind. I’m on a postage stamp to work with. Again the Springbar is so cool, mixed with the expert stitching it stands alone with just a few stakes. It’s like a dance floor in there, and the A Frame windows and the 2 other large openings makes this a GREAT TENT FOR STAR GAZING and listening to nature. My Rv is like a house when it comes to nature sounds, (except for heavy rAiN ha ha) I’ll send you pics when it’s a little more charming 🏕️
