Blood Tears After is sonic agreement between two musicians living in two opposite ends of the world: Viktor M. Leniz (known from plenty of projects like Cute Heels or Modernista) based in US and Marita Volodina (known from STRIDULUM, Burial Fields, Distance H and others) based in Poland. Musicians sharing sympathy for traditional sound rooted in post-punk and gothic rock, decided to create project
called Blood Tears After, whose debut EP is in a way a tribute to the 80s bands that largely shaped their musical sensitivity.
The music of Blood Tears After, seemingly overwhelming with severity of walls of guitars, also contains layers of moving and captivating melodies, full of melancholy and delicacy. Each of the 5 songs on the EP tells a story about life's disappointments, suffering, dilemmas and unexpected, winding paths leading to the end. The instrumental layers, for which Viktor is fully responsible, are complex and at the same time exceptionally catchy. Marita's vocals are captivating with their emotionality, while they also capture the heart with their almost mainstream melodicism, which - along with ambiguous lyrics - create a mysterious, yet consolatory realms.

„Blood Tears After” EP is a sorrowful, dramatic and beautiful story about everything that every human being has to deal with - a study of hatred, betrayal, hurt and lack of hope. But somewhere inbetween there is also a message that after every fall we have to get up and move on. There's surely something after Blood and Tears... EP will be out on April 4th via Swiss Dark Nights.
