I love this release. Dark, tranquil, melodic, beautiful. Great voice, great music. I plan to own all of the Hante albums available on bc as I get around to listening to the ones I already have. This album has real depth. It carries a sense of presence and invited me in—not just to listen, but to meet. I like to imagine I meet Alison Lewis in the undertow, swimming with skill and clarity, face to face. The sound is tense, dark, and minimal—controlled with precision. There is pain, but the balance makes it a kind of dance. It’s a display of emotional agility—clinical, exact, yet immersive.
