When life stares me down a bit too hard, I listen to Primitive Man. They turn anger into purpose and reason. The groove and heaviness is plain dirty on all of their records. I prefer the newer stuff, but only because I’m a picky person. Rather than complain about the wrongdoings of the world, the lyrics expose the pitfalls at the core of humanity’s problems. When I first heard Primitive Man, I was shocked. Metal hasn’t shocked me in an incredibly long time. I love that they can do that. Cordial Despair
