Let Your Dreams Take Flight

Hi Craft Friends,

Today I am sharing a Slider Card I created using stamps from Hero Arts.

To create my card I used the dog and helicopter from Hero Arts Fly High Animals Clear Stamp set. I used the Lawn Fawn Let's Toast Pull Tab Add-on die set to create the slider portion of the card.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

To create the grassy area at the bottom of the card I used the border die from Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges 2 die set. I also added the boy, cat and dog which are from Hero Arts Lucky Star Clear Stamp set.

For the inside of the card I added another grass border and a boy and girl from the Hero Arts Lucky Star Clear Stamp set and a sentiment from the High Flying Animals Clear Stamp set.

Amazing

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have a fun slider card to share with you all today.

This card uses the Neat and Tangled Maze die which was released earlier this year. I decided to create a slider card using this die.

For the bottom panel which shows through the maze area, I created a background using Distress Oxide inks and then splattered the background using Copic Opaque White.

To decorate the card I used the Wizard Friends Clear Stamp set from Kindred Stamps. Harry and Hermoine are both on the outside of the maze with Ron trying to get to either of the other two.

I added the "Amazing" sentiment which is one from a Father's Day sentiment set I have.

For the inside of the card I added the sentiments and a few more images from the stamp set.

Stamps: Wizard Friends - Kindred Stamps; Father's Day Greetings - Simon Says Stamps
Paper: White; Black
Dies: Maze - Neat and Tangled; Dashing Rectangles; Dotted Scallop Rectangles - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Other: Black Ink; Candied Apple Distress Oxide; Wild Honey Distress Oxide; Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide; Copic Opaque White; Fun Foam; Foam Tape; Copics

Unicorn Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another animation stamp card with you all. Recently I found this cute Uchi's Design Unicorn Animation stamp set which is exclusive to Simon Says Stamp which as you can see I just had to purchase.

For my card today I have also used Uchi's Design Animation Envelope die set to create the slider envelope. I added one of the sentiments from the Lawn Fawn Push Here stamp set on the pull tab.

As you probably can tell, I had fun adding Nuvo Drops around the frame of the envelop slider pocket using two different pinks.

Here is a quick video of my card so you can see the card in action.

For the inside of my card I added some designer paper that I had used on the Animation Slider Envelope and also a couple of sentiments. I also added a few of the stars from the Unicorn Animation stamp set.

Stamps: Unicorn Animation Stamps - Uchi's Design; Fairy Wishes - Practical Publications; Push Here - Lawn Fawn
Paper: White; Dark Pink; Light Pink; Orchid DP - Kaisercraft; DP - SU
Dies: Animation Envelope - Uchi's Design
Other: Black Ink;  Animation Grid; Bubblegum Blush Gloss Nuvo Drops; Carnation Gloss Nuvo Drops; Foam Tape

HB2U

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  As challenge hostess this month I continue to issue the challenges.

Tomorrow 11th November is Origami Day, let's include something origami related on our cards. It could be a folded shirt, dress, crane, a folded box whatever you like.

As you can see I decided to create an origami shirt which started from a piece of 4 inch x 6 inch designer paper.

Yesterday I posted a slider card I made for my mother's 90th birthday which is happening later this week using the Circle Accordion Card die set. Today I thought I would play with the Oval Accordion Card die set to create a slider on the front of my card. When you move the card the shirt with move around the oval opening and twist and turn around.

On the inside of the card I created a pop up card using the Happy Birthday Pop Up die set which is designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

As you can see I also added another origami shirt at the base of my card. I used white button brads to simulate buttons of my shirt.

Here is another look at the inside of my card taken at a different angle so you can see the pop up part of the card a little easier.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: Gift Card Greetings - MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Blue; Dark Blue; Red; Rough & Tumble DP - Carta Bella
Dies: Happy Birthday Pop Up Card; Oval Accordion Card; Oval Pull Card; Labels & Circles (for spinner) - designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs
Other: Black Ink;  White Button Brads; ECD Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape; Foam Tape

90th Slider Card

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing another birthday card that I have created for my mother's 90th birthday which happens later this week. This one I made for one of my daughters to give to her.

On Monday Raquel Mason shared a card she created for the Hats Pop It Ups Designer Challenge where she used the main die from the Ring Accordion Card die set to create a slider card. Of course when I say her card I thought it was a fantastic idea ... who doesn't like finding more ways to use products that we already own.  Of course I had to make one too!

Instead of using the Ring Accordion, I decided to use the Circle Accordion to create my slider card.

To decorate my card I used two of the gifts from the Gifts Peel Off Stickers set. I attached the stickers to adhesive tape and added Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and then colored the images with copic markers.

I added the number "90" to the centre of the circle which also has glitter on it.

Here is an animation of the slider in action. Of course each gift only slides in it's own track either the top or bottom track.

For the inside of the card I used the Anita Frames Pop Up die set to create a pop up card. I added the negative of two of the gifts left over from the Gifts Peel Off Stickers.

Stamps: Square Sayings - Simon Says Stamp
Paper: White; Pink; Green; Enchanting DP - Three Bugs in a Rug
Dies: Anita Frames Pop Up; Circle Accordion Card; Labels & Circles; Twist Circle Pop Up;  - designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs; Hi Rise Alphabet - MFT Stamps; Grandma - Cottage Cutz
Other ECD Products: Gifts Peel Off Stickers; Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape 64mm; Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter; Transfer Sheet
Other: Black Ink; Foam Tape; Copics

Nuts for You!

PTI-Nuts4U-wm

Hi everyone and happy Sunday to you all. I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

My card today is another Slider Card this time using Papertrey Ink’s Movers & Shakers  Slider Dies. I discovered that Papertrey Ink had fun dies to create interactive cards when I was searching on Pinterest recently for Slider card ideas.

This time round I have placed the slider on the front of a normal top folding card.

Here is my card again this time laying down so you can see the slider in action. The squirrel is also from Papertrey Ink … Nuts for You Stamp & Die set. I paper pieced the squirrel using designer paper.

‘Stache Tastic

CCEE1335CrackedGlassMoustac

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Vicky Gould our challenge hostess for the month of August finishes off her month with one last challenge.

Vicky says she hasn’t done cracked glass technique in ages….so this week our challenge is to use cracked glass on a vintage card. You can find a tutorial on the Cracked Glass Technique over on Splitcoast Stampers.

It has been ages since I have done the cracked glass technique too … and I was so busy focusing on that that I didn’t read the last part of the challenge until I copied it onto this post … oops … hopefully my card has a vintage look.

For my card this week I used the Flava Sava stamp set from There She Goes to create a Slider Card. I recently discovered that The Rubber Cafe has a die to help create this style of card (thanks to Kristine Reynolds who has been using this die lots recently LOL). Of course loving all things construction I had to purchase the die and it definitely helps creating this style of card.

Here is another view of my card. On the hidden panel which is revealed when you pull up the panel at the top … I have used the sentiment I moustache (must ask) you a question. When I was looking through my birthday stamps looking for something to put on the sliding panel at the top I discovered the sentiment “You’re How Old?” which seemed the perfect question to use on this card .

Here is my card closed ready to be placed in an envelope. You can also get a better view of my cracked glass piece. I stamped the moustaches onto designer paper and then applied the embossing powder to get the cracked glass effect.
