Sending Calm Thoughts - Color Dare #719

  We have a new color challenge for you today at:

I created my background by ink blending Distress Oxide Ink on a piece of watercolor paper (Bundled Sage). I flicked some Mica Spray in a teal color all over the card, then stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of cardstock with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, I attached that with some foam tape after sponging some more ink on the edges. I stamped the kitty from Self Care Satire at Unity Stamp Co. with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics  and used a photo strip frame die to cut out. I added a little ribbon tag and some rhinestone stickers for bling.

I used some papers from my stash, I believe they were from My Mind's Eye but I'm not 100% sure. I colored my image with Copics and used a rounded edge nesting rectangle die to cut out.

86 Your Fear - Art Journal

 I realized yesterday that I hadn't played in my art journal for a bit, so I decided to make an art journal page for the challenge at:

Tic Tac Toe #300 (I used letters/numbers, dimension, and sparkle/shine)

I used Lindy's Magicals in Glory of the Seas Gold Shimmer for the background. I then added some chipboard pieces on the left side (Be Bold and the bird), coloring the bird with Flickering Candle Mica Spray Stain. I stenciled the 86 with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder. The sticker sentiments are from a Tim Holtz sticker book. I stamped the random mixed media stamps (Funky Fossil) on the pages and finished off with some sequin stickers.

Just For Giggles IG Hop

 We are having a Just For Giggles IG Hop today!

I used the Layered Fire stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (you can use code JennFan10 for 10% off anything in the shop) for my one-layer card. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Crackling Campfire and Candied Apple.  The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz sticker books. I added some rhinestone stickers for bling to finish it off. Peace.

Double Trouble Crazy Cousin - Final Week for August

Well, it's my final week as the Double Trouble Crazy Cousin for August and here is our recipe for #224 - Scrapper's Gorp you:

I really enjoyed playing along with the Double Trouble family this month and would like to extend my appreciation to them for having me!  Here is my final project:

My papers are from Unity Stamp Co. called The Soft Side of the Fence - I used 3 different papers from the same pack, 2 colors (yellow and green), and one image. I followed the TSOT sketch and included the Twisted Sister's twist of stitching on my stitched edge circle die (Mama Elephant).  My cow and sentiment stamp are from a Stampin' Up! set called Wild Bunch - stamped with Versafine Black, embossed with clear embossing powder, and colored with Copics. I fussy cut the cow and attached with foam tape. I die cut the sentiment (Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Dies set) and attached with brads.  The die cut balloons are from a set of birthday dies I have had FOREVER and cannot remember the manufacturer but it was a big company like MFT or something like that. If you know, please tell me so I can update!  Thanks!
