I'm having a problem solving the puzzle where you have to use the cat comb. The slider moves way too fast for me to fill up the bar. Any work arounds or tips?

i cant get passed through the purple monster i need help i have tried to close the game and restart it and it just bugs it more. can someone help me?

What's the path where it saves the current game? I'm going for the 20-second achievements and I don't want to replay everything if I miss. This game could really use a replay chapter function after the first playthrough.
