Set to unfold over the course of the weeks following the update, The Slasher content rolls out differently than most of our major updates. Wastelanders should expect to receive in-game updates from The Debunker Radio on what’s happening in the world and what they should do next.

We’re excited to bring you another heavily requested feature. Legacy Seasons!

Starting with “The Slasher” update, we can now bring back one past season to sit alongside the current season to give everyone another chance at earning rewards that they might have missed out on. Legacy Seasons utilize the same ticket pool as normal season which means that how you choose to spend your tickets is entirely up to you!

Our first Legacy Season is “Armor Ace and the Power Patrol in Cold Steel” and will run the full length of the season. Many of you have already voted on what next Legacy Season will be and that is “Season 10: Red Rocket 'Across America' Presents: The City of Steel”. Season 10 will become available alongside the Winter update.

The Autumnal equinox marks the start of many things, and one just one of those things is the new fish that have entered the Appalachian waterways with their new seasonal food recipes to boot. For the fishers among us, Captain Raymond has a note with clues to the locations where these new fish could be caught.

Last but certainly not least is another long request feature, Unique Item Crafting! With the release of The Slasher update, you can take your unique weapons/armor and change their Legendary Mods as well as add a 4th Legendary Mod to them.

This gives new life to many of the specially tagged items that you can find and craft in Appalachia as well as opening loads more opportunities for you to further develop your builds. The notes below cover a bunch of changes to unique weapons as well as updates to Workbench crafting costs and a lot more.

• Fixed an issue with older Armor Paints from the Atomic Shop and Seasons not properly applying dynamic names.

• Fixed an issue which caused the Raider Skiller Hood to not display in the crafting menu.

• AP bonus increased from 2 to 5 on limbs and from 2 to 10 on the torso

• Ultra-Light Build armor mod

• AP bonus increased from 5 to 10 on limbs and from 5 to 20 on the torso

• The Pocketed and Deep Pocketed mods Torso slot now grants twice the carry weight that limbs do.

• Backpack flairs no longer float in space when attached to a wall hanger.

• Fixed an issue where claiming the Hotshot Motorcycle incorrectly granted the Motorcycle as well.

• Fixed an issue preventing Orbital Strike and Orbital Scan beacons to not function correctly.

• Fixed an issue which could cause the ID Card Reader to remain unresponsive while progressing through the "Elusive Crane" quest inside the Gauley Mine location.

• Fixed an issue which caused Canned Radscorpion to provide different resistances then the cooked version.

• Lucky-Leaf Tea buff will now last 1 hour.

• Canned Rad Scorpion Steak will no longer benefit from Super Duper.

• Fixed an issue that prevented Lucky-Leaf Tea from working for players with the Carnivore perk.

• Corpses Will Now Be Highlighted Through Geometry To Facilitate Easier Location Of A Downed Boss.

• Infestation discovery visiblity can now be toggled from the settings menu.

• Infestations now have a new look on the map. Instead of a green circle, there will now be a dark fog over areas with active Infestations.

• The clouds from Infestations are now a texture on the map instead of a flat circle.

• Fast traveling on the Infestations windows on the flyouts and Recent Activity list will now join the player instead of a fixed location.

• Reduced Infestation Boss health.

• Fixed an issue that could cause an Infestation Boss to spawn as a normal enemy.

• Fixed an issue that caused the Infestation flyout to not appear until the Infestation was cleared.

• The sell value of Legendary Items is now the same regardless of the item type and based on the number of stars.

• Weapon sell price increased from 5/15/40/50 to 15/25/50/150.

• Power Armor sell price increased from 10/20/45/55 to 15/25/50/150.

• The Scrip returned from scrapping has been increased from 1/2/4/6 to 3/5/10/30.

• Purchasing from the Purveyor now has the same price regardless of the item type:

  • Weapon buy price changed from 25/50/100 to 25/35/60

  • Armor buy price changed from 15/30/60 to 25/35/60

  • Power Armor buy price changed from 50/75/120 to 25/35/60

• The weight of Legendary Modules has been reduced while in your stash from 0.15 to 0.05.

• Fixed a bug that prevented the Tarnished and Polished mods from awarding better player damage.

• Explosive Arrow Explosion count adjusted from 15 to 1.

• This addresses an issue where the 2 ★ Explosive Mod for Bow/Compound Bows caused enemies to stagger incorrectly.

• Explosive Arrow Explosion no longer based on world orientation to match other explosive projectiles.

• Updated the mod description of the "Raging" Four-Star Legendary Mod to properly represent it's potential to stack.

• Vector Mod now has matching descriptions in Armors and Power Armors.

• Unyielding effect boundaries are now at 20%, 40%, 60% instead of below. This means that you now require 20% HP or less to gain the full effect instead of 19.9% HP or less.

• The Awareness perk will no longer show the skull icon of raid bosses next to resistances.

• When using keyboard & mouse, the button bar at the bottom of all menus now has a hover state to better show when they can be clicked on.

• Gatling Plasma Large Core Receptacle now shows 50% ammo capacity upgrade that matches gameplay rather than 100%.

• Fixed an issue that could cause the Auto-Axe and Chainsaw to be unresponsive if selected with the weapon wheel in third person.

• Fixed an issue which caused “All Rise” to display an incorrect model after applying a skin.

• Fixed a bug that prevented .44 pistols from being repaired.

• Fixed an issue that caused the Auto-Axe to become unresponsive when player is crippled while attacking in 3rd person.

• Fixed an issue where Cold Steel weapon paint wasn't applying the name to the Combat Shotgun and Combat Rifle.

• Fixed missing blood textures when using the Bowie Knife.

• Sharp Mods on both Baseball Bat & Knuckles names adjusted. They will now be referred to as 'Bladed' & 'Sharp'.

• The Brotherhood Recon Rifle has been replaced with a recipe for the Recon Scope in the Activity: Distant Thunder. Crafting restrictions around the Brotherhood Recon Rifle have been removed and it is now treated the same as other Hunting Rifles.

• The Fancy Single Action Revolver and Pump Action Shotgun have been replaced with weapon skins for the Pump Action Shotgun and Single Action Revolver. If you have the old items, they will be converted into a normal Pump Action Shotgun or Single Action Revolver with the weapon skin applied. You can then modify the items as you please.

• Items that are classified as “unique” now display this tag when inspected.

• Unique items, both weapons and armor, can now have their Legendary Mods changed and a 4th Legendary Mod added.

• The Scrip cost to change Legendary Mods no longer increases and is now a fixed value.

  • 1, 2, and 3-star require 50

  • 4-star require 100

• Crafting Unique items at the workbench now requires Vault Steel.

  • 3-star items require 40

  • 4-star items require 80

• Increased the number of modules required to craft unique items.

  • 3-star items require 30

  • 4-star items require 65

• Unique items have an increased Scrip cost to change Legendary Mods.

  • This is 10x the base cost

• When attaching mods to an item, the replaced mod is now shown in the confirmation window. In addition, there is text to highlight if the replaced mod is not known by your character.

• Fixed an issue where items with missing Legendary Mods would not allow you to replace the missing mod slots if the missing slot was lower in star count than the existing slots.

• You can now always craft the paint mod an item spawns with regardless of whether you know the plans or not. This is to ensure you can always go back to that item’s specific default paint if you change it.

• Fallout 76 (PC) now natively supports PlayStation DualSense and DualShock 4 controllers.

• Fixed an issue that prevented Cobby from speaking his dialogue lines.

• Hauler's description now matches between Power Armor and Regular Armor.

• Server hopping will no longer bypass Giuseppe's daily mystery Bobblehead Box limit.

• Level 50 Boost has been updated to align with Perk Card update.

• Fixed an issue causing the sneak bonus to not function on the following effects:

  • Chinese Stealth Armor

• Added a new setting under Display to change the scale of other players explosion VFX.
