Summary of The WooF (old name) Plague
Formerly known as Toko, RoA player Kuvira was mistaken for the player WooF by Bananapel9. After hearing this, Kuvira changed his name to WooF as a joke, and the name quickly spread throughout the players in the Rivals of Aether Academy discord. The name "WooF | WooF" was used by a growing number of players, along with the constant usage of speech containing Woof. There was also a notable increase of players in Exhibition wearing the said tag. After the nicknames were noticed by server principal Shen, nametag-changing permissions were removed, and were promised to be returned in the future. This didn't do much to help ease the situation, and the meme was attempted to be killed by meanie teacher and hall monitor, Quote_A, when he muted all students, after what is known as the Slappa Ping Spam Incident. In this incident, player Gruntilda (before known as Slappayurface) sent the message "gg wolf wof", which led to the chat, mostly consisting of WooF followers, to spam chat with pings towards Gruntilda to say "good game" back. It has been approximately 20 minutes since the SPSI, and we are yet to see the future of the WooF Plague, and its ultimate effect on the community.
