Frustrating, punishing and flawed.

Its unique style and gameplay give it a strange appeal that makes you want to see it through to the end.

While at the start it is repetitive and frustrating, when you start to grasp its mechanics it becomes weirdly satisfying and it quickly pulls you in with its bizarre ideas and strange world.
The combat has a depth that is not immediately apparent, rewarding slow and careful execution.
Memorizing map layouts is key to getting strong gear and progressing through the levels.

I was also impressed by the overall graphical quality.
Characters, armors, weapons, animations and the environments are all very well made; I just wish there were more of them.
Also, the menus and the UI are particularly eye-catching and colorful.
Apparently, new maps and bosses will be added in future seasons; I just don't understand how they expect people to stick around with such anemic content at launch.

Unfortunately, it's riddled with egregious microtransactions.
Health potions that have no inventory weight, characters with better stats than the default ones, bigger storage and safe space and more. This is one of the worst pay-to-win economies I have ever seen in a paid video game.
At first, you won't notice it since everything weighs very little in your inventory, but the more you play and progress, the more restricted you are with how many consumables and gear you can carry or store in your safe pocket. This gives people who spend money a massive advantage and a much better overall experience.
Also, an extensive use of generative AI was used during development to make textures, images, voices and music.

As of posting this review, there are only a total of ~20 players online as a daily peak, which makes the PvPvE mode basically useless and the "Death Jamboree" mode completely deserted.
In all my time playing, I have never been able to play either.

In the end, I definitely had fun and I honestly wish they would add more content.
However, I can't recommend a game with such ridiculous pay-to-win microtransactions.
