Еще в школе мне достался "пиратский" диск с этой игрой и уже тогда это была бомба!

События игры развиваются в трущобах американского мегаполиса в псевдо-ретро временной период, особенностью которого является смесь арт-деко 1930-х годов, скрещенного с современными технологиями. Сюжет игры пусть и незамысловат - главный герой, очнувшись на мусорке, идёт убивать главаря местных бандитов, который живет в шикарном небоскребе, но, тем не менее, каждая деталь этого мира была проработана до идеала.

Увы, игра на движке Quake 2, созданная Xatrix Entertainment и затем изданная Interplay Entertainment в июне 1999 года, фактически стала "лебединой песней" для обеих контор, что очень чувствуется в процессе игры, когда ближе к финалу исчезли даже простенькие квесты, оставив место лишь бесконечному экшену, но всё равно игра приобрела культовый статус.

В России игра никогда официально не издавалась и не переводилась, но, благодаря усилиям пиратской конторе "Фаргус", она вышла под названием "Братан", получив большую популярность, поскольку в ней широко используется смачная нецензурная лексика с обильным употреблением матерных слов в исполнении действительно профессиональных актеров.
