SunBit started from a simple question: could home heating be free? The Bitcoin Boiler we built doesn't just heat a property — it also generates passive income at the same time. Energy is going to be used for heating anyway; why not earn from it too?
We founded SunBit to remove both problems with a single solution. Our goal is to give ordinary households and businesses an easy way to cut heating costs and earn passive income at the same time — with no technical know-how or crypto knowledge required.
"The idea was born while tinkering with crypto in 2020. I started mining Bitcoin and noticed the rigs produced heat as a by-product. That heat is normally a problem — miners run poorly if the heat has nowhere to go."
My background in heating and energy sales and energy calculations helped me turn that observation into an idea: use the waste heat to warm buildings. After hundreds of boiler-room visits, I had the heating know-how to actually route mining heat into a real heating system effectively. That's how the final idea was born — an innovative, affordable heating solution that became the Bitcoin Boiler.

We brought a hot tub heated by Bitcoin mining to the largest Bitcoin event in the Nordics. We nearly ran into trouble when the water climbed to almost 60 °C during the day — but it was a concrete example of what waste heat can do.

After the last rounds of fine-tuning, we had a version of the Bitcoin Boiler suited for serial production. Every installation is still tailored to the customer's site, but manufacturing and assembly of the units themselves is now streamlined and properly up and running.
