If your AirPods or AirPods Pro won't connect
If your AirPods or AirPods Pro won't connect to your iPhone, iPad or Mac, try to pair your AirPods to your device again.
- Update your iPhone or iPad or update your Mac to the latest version of iOS, iPadOS or macOS. 
- Put both AirPods in the charging case and make sure that both AirPods are charging. 
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on: - On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth. 
- On Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Bluetooth. 
 
- Open on your device, tap or click : - If your AirPods appear in the list of devices, select them, then test them by playing audio from your device. Make sure the volume on your device is turned up. 
- If your AirPods don't appear in the list of devices, or they do appear but won't connect, go to the next step. 
 
- Close the lid, wait 15 seconds, then open the lid. 
- Do the following, depending on which AirPods you have: - For AirPods 4 (both models), double-tap the front of the case until the status light flashes white. 
- For AirPods Pro 3, double-tap the front of the case until the status light flashes white. 
- For all other models, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white. 
 
- Hold the charging case, with your AirPods inside and the lid open, next to the device you want to connect to. 
- Follow the steps on the screen of your device. 
- If you still can't connect, reset your AirPods.
