Get podcasts on Apple TV

Podcasts app

Open the Apple Podcasts app to access your favorite podcasts on Apple TV.

Find and play podcasts

Open the Podcasts app on Apple TV.
In the menu bar, navigate to any of the following categories:
- Listen Now: Browse episodes you haven’t heard or watched, or resume episodes you haven’t finished yet.
- Browse: Browse featured podcasts.
- Top Charts: Browse the most popular podcasts by genre.
- Library: See a list of your podcasts and the stations you’ve created.
- Search: Use the onscreen keyboard to enter a search term.
To play or stream an episode, select the podcast, then select an episode.

Use Siri to find podcasts

Do one of the following:

In the Search screen of the Podcast app on Apple TV, Navigate the text entry field, press and hold the Siri button on the Siri Remote, then speak.
For example, say the name of the podcast you’re looking for. For more information, see Use Siri dictation on Apple TV.
From anywhere else on Apple TV, press and hold the Siri button on the Siri Remote, then include “podcast” in your query.
Siri: Say something like:
- “Get some funny podcasts”
- “Find podcasts about surfing”
- “Play ‘Radiolab’ podcast”
If you’ve followed the selected podcast, Apple TV begins playing the current episode right away.

Get new episodes as they’re released

Follow a podcast to get new episodes as they become available.

While browsing in Featured or Top Charts in the Podcasts app on Apple TV, select a podcast, then select Follow.

Unfollow a podcast

In the Podcasts app on Apple TV, navigate to Library, navigate to an individual episode, press and hold the clickpad center (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation), then select Unfollow.

Remove unplayed episodes

In the Podcasts app on Apple TV, navigate to Listen Now, navigate to an individual episode, press and hold the clickpad center (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or touch surface (Siri Remote 1st generation), then select Mark as Played.
