You can cancel your Google Fi service at any time. There are no termination fees.
After you cancel, you can reactivate your Google Fi service. If you don’t want to cancel your service permanently, you can stop your Google Fi service temporarily.
If you're part of a group plan, before you can start the cancellation process, you have to leave or remove members.
If you finance your device with Google Fi, you're charged the full balance when you close your account.
Find your account number & port-out PIN
To transfer your number to another carrier, you need your Google Fi account number and a unique port-out PIN. To get this info, start the cancellation process on the Google Fi website or app.
Important:
- This cancellation process doesn’t immediately cancel your service. Your Google Fi service remains active until your number successfully transfers to your new carrier.
- If you only need your account number and PIN and don't plan to transfer immediately, take note of your info and exit the cancellation process.
For groups, each member must get their own port-out information.

Keep in mind before you cancel
How to transfer your number to another carrierImportant:
- Enter your name and service address exactly as they show on your Google Fi account. These are case-sensitive.
- To move your number from Google Fi to another provider, get your port-out info from your Google Fi account and give it to your new carrier.
To transfer your number:
- Get your port-out info:
        - On your Android device, open the Google Fi website or app.
- Tap the “Account” tab Manage plan. 
- Scroll and tap Leave Google Fi.
- To find your account number and port-out PIN, follow the on-screen instructions.
 
- Give the info to your new carrier:
        - Provide your new carrier with your Google Fi account number, port-out PIN, and any other requested account details like your:
            - Name
- Service address

- Wait for the transfer to complete: Your new carrier works with Google Fi to transfer your number. This process usually takes less than 24 hours. When the transfer is complete, your Google Fi service automatically cancels.
Tip: Your port-out PIN is valid for 14 days. If the transfer takes longer, you may need to repeat the first step to regenerate the PIN.
Within 15 days of receiving your phone
If you bought your phone through Google Fi and it’s been 15 days or less since you received it, you can return your phone for a refund.
Over 15 days since you received your phone
If it’s been more than 15 days since you received your phone, you can no longer return it.
If you’re signed up for monthly payments on your phone, you must pay the remaining balance. You’ll find this balance on your next statement after you cancel and it’ll be charged to the payment card on your account.
Use your phone with other carriers
Your phone isn't locked to Google Fi. You can use it with another carrier after you cancel your service. You get instructions on how to use your phone with other carriers during the cancellation process.
An overdue balance is an amount that you owe from a billing cycle before you cancel. If you have an overdue balance, you must pay the remaining balance in full before you can cancel your Google Fi service. Learn how to pay for your phone with monthly installments.
If your account has an overdue balance and you want to port out your number, contact Google Fi support.
When you cancel your Google Fi Unlimited Premium service, you lose access to:
- Your Google One benefits 7 days after your Google Fi service ends
- YouTube Premium
You can prevent a service interruption when you pay for your benefits directly through Google One or YouTube.

In the Google Fi app:
- On your Android device, open the Google Fi app.
- Tap the "Account" tab Manage plan Cancel service. 
- To complete the cancellation, follow the on-screen instructions.
In the Google Fi website:
- On your Android device, visit the Google Fi website.
- Sign in to your account.
- Tap the "Account" tab Manage plan Cancel service. 
- To complete the cancellation, follow the on-screen instructions.
    - If you select to transfer your number to another provider during this cancellation process, you get your account number and PIN.
 
After you close your Google Fi account, you can:
- Transfer your number to another carrier.
    - When you close your Google Fi account, you get your port-out number and PIN.
 
- Transfer your number to Google Voice.
- Sign in to your account to find your bills and other details.
    - Signing in to your account doesn't reactivate your service. You get a notification that your service has been canceled.
 
To cancel a deceased subscriber's service, contact Google Fi support.

The number availability of Google Voice changes often, so even if your number was on Google Voice before, it can’t always be transferred back. If you want to keep your number, you can transfer it to another carrier that supports it.
Understand your final bills
Receive your final bill
After you cancel your service, you get 2 final billing statements, and the entire billing and refund process can take up to 90 days to complete.
- First statement: You get this at the end of your current billing cycle.
- Second statement: You get this up to 30 days after the first statement. This includes any delayed charges, like international usage.
Within 30 days after the second and final statement is issued, any eligible refund is processed and applied to your original payment method. Your service credits are non-refundable.
Learn how your plan affects your final bill
- Flexible plan: If you cancel before the end of your billing cycle, you get a credit for any unused days on your final bill.
- Unlimited plans: If you cancel before the end of your billing cycle, you are still responsible for the full month of service charges.
Manage group plan
If you’re the group owner, the cancellation process begins after the last member leaves your plan. Since members have 60 days to leave, this waiting period may extend your final billing cycle.
