Answer questions about a place on Google Maps

In Google Maps, you can answer questions about places.

Important: This feature is only available in certain countries and regions.

Answer questions from Google

You might get a notification with questions about a place. To share an answer, tap the notification and follow the on-screen instructions.

Find your questions or answers

After you ask a question or provide an answer, you can find that information in your Google Maps contributions.

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app Maps.
  2. Tap Contribute Contribute.
    • If necessary, at the top, tap and drag the menu bar until you see Q&A.
  3. Tap Q&A.
  4. Scroll through your list of questions and answers.

Turn off notifications about questions & answers

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app Maps.
  2. Tap your profile picture or initial Account Circle  and then Settings Settings.
  3. Tap Notifications and then  Q&A and chat and then Messages from businesses.
  4. Under notification preferences, tap Off.

Report questions or answers

  1. Next to the question or answer, tap More .
  2. Tap Report question or Report answer.
