Anything Goes

Good morning everyone. Beautiful days at the moment and I really can't wait to start going swimming. In fact last year at this time I had already gone once, so I'm hoping to go next Sunday. Good news btw.... finally we concluded the new house plans and so now the waiting goes on again for the approval to come out so we can start the works. Well, at least we did a step now.

Anyway, it's Wednesday today and so it's a new challenge at Crafting by Design and it's time for the monthly ANYTHING GOES challenge today.

For my card I am using an image from one of our sponsors, Bugaboo Stamps as this month we have two sponsors. The cute image is Critter Balloons Elephant and I colored it with my promarkers.

Some embossing today, and die cuts of course and fun ribbon to finish it off.

Anything Goes - April

Hello everyone. Wow I just cant believe we're in April already .. time is flying by so quickly!! We still haven't concluded the new house plans ufff .. our architect is taking sooo long and so I'm very very disappointed and getting really frustrated :(  I just want to start and move in :(  Hopefully hopefully next week, for our third appointment we will conclude. Fingers crossed xx .. 

Some more news :) Will be hosting our first guests for this year next Saturday in our rental home, they are from Germany, then the week after we will host our second guests, this time from Italy, so I'm very excited. Still have a few days available in April if anyone is interested, which days I have put down in price too. In those days there is the Malta Annual Fireworks festival and the Green Festival going on here in Malta, so many good reasons to have a short break .... plus of course the gorgeous sunny Spring weather :) Check it out here please ... It's Almost Spring

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a nice weekend. I'm a bit late this week with my DT Card, sorry. I've had a very very busy week. It was hubby's birthday last Wednesday, and since it was his 50th birthday, we went for a night at a hotel. At first we weren't going to do anything special, with all the expenses we have with the new house, but then on the last minute we decided to do this! Besides that, we again went to see more kitchens, I had to go for the costume fitting for my upcoming working as EXTRA in the film Murder on the Orient Express, and then yesterday it was Carnival party time. This year I didn't prepare anything to wear, so at the last minute, on the day of the party, I was fixing up my costume!!! Waaaah :P .. So what I did I found an old skirt of mine, the top from another costume, scarfs to which I attached some fun embellishments and hey ho I got a gypsy costume ha ha .. here's me yesterday with my friends at the party. I think it came out ok!!

The Key to My Heart

Hello everyone. I hope you had a good weekend. I had a day off today because as I said previously today we got to sign the contract for our new home so had a very busy day too as after that we went there to take the water and electricity readings and then we went to meet a designer for our new kitchen and that took ages!!! Well a busy and exciting day! Got the keys now and so it's officially ours. Can't wait to start refurbishing it, obviously lots to do as want to change the tiles, change the bathrooms and have of course to buy the furniture. The boys both want the same room and I don't know how I am going to decide on this!!! Wow this blog recently has become like my diary now besides my blog to post my cards. ...

Some more exciting news now as yesterday received another reservation for our apartment, this time in April for seven nights, so extra extra happy :D

Anyway, so now it's time for a card. Don't usually post on a Monday but lately I've been having lots of crafty mojo and I made this card, so I had to share it. It must be because I am very happy that I bought lots of new dies he he  :) 

 With Valentine's Day just round the corner I just couldn't resist getting some Valentine's Day related dies. So here I have two new dies that I bought ... the Heart Breeze dies from Simon Says and the wordings from Brittannia Dies. This one comes with more words .. the With Love, To and 'sday to make the word Valentine's day. ... could you resist them ????

Pink Pretty and Girlie

Hello everyone, and welcome. I hope you are having a nice week. 

This week I started doing some jogging again, hopefully I keep it up, today I'm going out for lunch with my colleagues, before that going to see a colleague in hospital and tomorrow we are getting a pizza for lunch at the office, and besides that I'm having a very crafty mojo lately and made quite a few cards...  so it is a very good week :D 

But that's not all, as next Monday, the BIG DAY when we will sign the contract for our new home is nearly here... so I'm feeling very excited... can't wait :D

Monochrome

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your days lately and haven't been as busy as me :P I'm busy enjoying Summer whilst welcoming and seeing guests going. It is fun but of course tiring a bit too, but I love it. Everything is going fine so far, we had some fabulous reviews from guests and we also finished off the last of the rooms where we have the single beds and I furnished it with the colors blue and yellow with lots of butterflies and flowers :) It came out so nice, was really pleased. Today we saw two Italians leaving and four Russians checking in for a week. After these, we will have two English people coming for nine days and then the next ones will be also from England but in October, so for September we just have only three days not booked :) So pleased. The background DP is an oldie, from Papermania, The Capsule Collection, and then I just added two card candy, two die cuts, the clouds and the gate and the sentiment to finish it off. I think it came out quite nice.

Lace and/or Ribbon

Hello everyone, and hello May, my birthday month :) and soon Summer yay I love Summer. I can't wait to start going to the beach. The weather has been awful lately, always so windy, so I'm really really hoping that at least on my birthday it will be nicer and warmer to hopefully have a dip.

Pastel Colors

Good morning everyone. Hope you are having a lovely day. It's really nice and warm here in Malta and finally I got my chance to go for a swim last Sunday :) It was quite windy though, and I nearly didn't swim too because of that, but one guy that was with us decided to go for it still and so off I went too he he :) Really glad I did too because I really enjoyed it even though it was really cold ... of course now I'm really looking forward for another one, hoping it won't be so windy again!

New Home

Good morning everyone. It's not an easy day for me today and hasn't been since the beginning of this week as unfortunately my mother in law passed away suddenly on Monday. She was 83 years old, but still well and fine, so it was really unexpected, as was my mother's, who also passed away this year in January. We lost both mothers in the same year, so not a good year for us unfortunately. May they rest in peace.

Anyway, so am doing a quick post today to share my DT card for this week's new challenge at

The theme for this week is

NEW HOME

 The image that I used to do my card is from our sponsor for this week Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and they are kindly offering a lovely a $10 voucher for the lucky winner.

To do my card I use two DPs from two different packs, one was a magazine freebie, while the smaller one on the side is from Dovecraft, Sugar and Spice paper pack. I then added gems, flower dies, punch the border on the side with a Martha Stewart punch and finished it off with a nice large red  bow and a sentiment which came with the digi.

At difficult times like this, I really appreciate my hobbies and it was good spending some time making this card to put my mind off from the day.
