SWALK Sneak Peek!

Hi everyone, I'm back again! I have a sneak peek to share using one of the 12 new SWALK stamps from Crafters Companion. This is my first play with these stamps and they're really cute! This card is using one of the new images to be released next Tuesday. She's called A Little Bird.

On the stamp plate you have the sentiment plus 3 little birds which I've stamped in the corners. I've used papers from the SWALK CD rom, the image is stamped onto Neenah card and coloured in with Spectrum Noirs all of which are available here.
PLUS, Crafters Companion are running a competition giving away all of the new stamps! If you head over to here there is a simple question to answer and you will be entered. Closing date is 8th May at 9.00am. You have to be logged on to be able to see the question and add your answer so if you are not already a member then please register and the winner could be you! Good luck!

Challenges;
Sweet Stop Sketch - Any sketch (I picked sketch 94, sort of, went off track a little!)
Papertake - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Birthdays

Boys & their toys!

Morning! I'll keep this fairly brief as I'm not feeling too good at the moment - one too many glasses of bubbly at my friends birthday party last night  has left me a bit green and looking at the computer screen is making it worse! : S
I've made this card for Pixie's Crafty Snippet challenge amongst others, I always meant to join in with this when Jules was looking after it and never got around to it but now my snippets and scraps are all organised, there's no excuse! The image was one I coloured up ages ago but didn't use and the papers are all scraps.
Thanks for looking, I need to put some warpaint on and head out to my MIL's birthday lunch! Wish me luck! ;D

Challenges;
Sweet Stop Sketch - this sketch -->
Cards for Men - Boys and their toys
Lili's Little Fairies - Boys/mens card
Crazy 4 Challenges - Lots of layers

Little Sleepy Head!

Hello! I'm back again this morning to show you a little baby card I've made. I've made it a bit of a mission to use up more of my scraps and I thought this sketch was perfect for that. I've gone for another clean and simple style card to show off the cute image. I coloured the little hanging mobile in pastel colours (badly but never mind!) then I coloured some little clear gems to match it. Thanks for visiting, I hope you have a lovely day!
Here's the challenges:
Sweet Stop Sketch - this sketch -->
CAS-ual Fridays - Scallops
My Mums Craft shop - One for the Girls
Lili's Little Fairies - Fave LOTV stamp - well it's my favourite new one! ;-)

Hello! Sorry this is later than planned but I've had a manic week and only got time to sit down and make a card today! But it's a card for this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge, this weeks theme is to use a Monochromatic colour scheme, and I think pretty much all of the DT have used different colours!
This weeks prize is from the lovely people at Fantastic Ribbons!
Here's my card, it's a pretty simple one because I'm making some samples for some baby announcement/thank you cards (hi Susannah if you're reading!!) I thought the sentiment could be changed and a photo in place of the stamp but wanted to keep it simple if I'm going to be making quite a few. Anyway, thanks for looking! Sweet Stamping Challenge - Anything Goes

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #57 & a DT call!

Good morning! Did you spot the title...? Truly Scrumptious is back!! Yey! Michele has very kindly offered to keep running the blog while Sharon has a blogging break. Unfortunately though, a couple of the DT have decided to step down which leaves us a little short, so...there's a Design Team Call on!! Just link up your entry on the blog and add DT after your name if you'd like to join us! To get us back into the swing of things there's a nice easy theme - Anything Goes! There's 4 digi images from Pink Gem Designs to be won too!
Here's my card, it's a little different to my usual, partly because it's huge! Well, A5! I thought it could work as one of those cards that gets passed around an office for everyone to sign! The text panel idea came from when I saw this sketch, I've had this stamp a little while (and a Christmas version) but it hasn't seen ink until now! I hope you like it, it's for these challenges -

So this challenge is to use Pink, Brown and Green, perhaps using the photo for some inspiration.

Penny Black Saturday #132 & Sweet Stop Sketch #87!

Hello everyone! Well I'm slightly better than last week, at least I'm posting on the day of the challenges! I'm a bit snowed in today (yey! A guilt free snow day!!) so I might try to get ahead with some future DT cards. But first for today's post is this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge, the last of 2010 and my last Christmas card of the year (or the first in the pile for next year!). This week we have A Recipe for you, 3 patterned papers, 1 ribbon and 1 charm, and there is an adorable stamp up for grabs.
I have combined this with a few other challenges; Friday Sketchers - this sketch, Stamp with Fun - Christmas, Cupcake Craft - Non traditional Christmas, Stamp Something - a tag or pocket and ABC Christmas Challenge - Z for Zero time left! (any previous challenge, I've gone for F is for Frosty! with the optional extra of snow). I'm not sure if it shows but I've covered the little charm with glitter and glittered the flower soft and little stars for some extra glitz! I hope you like it!

And onto this weeks Sweet Stop Sketch, and it's prize time again so we have a sketch with a spin - use Stitching on your card, real or faux is fine, I've gone for faux and I thought this cute little dress and button would match it. This isn't the last challenge from us, we will still have a challenge on Christmas day for all you folks who have a nice little break. I have also entered this into a couple of other challenges; the Basic Grey Challenge - A Recipe, 4 different kinds of embellishments (mine are gems, ribbon, button and a flower), 3 patterned papers and 1 or 2 images and/or sentiments and this weeks
Allsorts which is Free and easy - anything goes!
Thanks for looking, I'll be back on Christmas Day with my last ever DT card for the Sweet Stop Sketch as my June to December DT post is coming to an end :-( Enjoy the lead up to Christmas! See ya soon!

Penny Black Saturday #131 & Sweet Stop Sketch #86!

Morning! I can't believe I'm late with this post again! I get so busy this time of year (as I'm sure you all do) but it always seems to come as a total surprise and I'm left running late for everything! It's time for my Double DT cards, and this week I did something I said I wouldn't do, I've combined this weeks Sweet Stop Sketch with this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge! Arggghhh!! Sorry peeps, but desperate times call for desperate measures and it was either that or choose to make only one! (I'm just glad the PB challenge wasn't a sketch one too!) The Penny Black Saturday challenge is The Holly and the Ivy - Christmas plants, trees etc! I've made a fairly simple but bright card as this is going to my young cousins but there's enough glitter on it to jazz it up!
This is also going to be for this weeks Allsorts - 'Last minute Christmas' (I'd definitely say this counts!), Spoonful of Sugar - a Christmas card (2nd entry) and ABC Challenge - J is for Jewels & gems.
Thanks for looking, I hope you have a great weekend! I'm about to go freeze my bits off at the Winchester Christmas market! Byeee!
