So this is me sitting on my mommy's lap. I used to love her lap in those days. I rarely come for a snuggle on her lap unless I feel really needy for mommy. I love the faux silk pink robe that she is wearing in the picture. It was probably the 1st thing I remember of my mommy, and many time when I feel scared or sad or lonely or miss mommy, I like to go find this robe and snuggle in it again.

This picture is of me and Marie, the day after we came home. It was also the day after we got our "surgeries'. But as you can see, we were already pretty alert and content here. We were both 3 months, and we always like to sleep together (still do!).

So, this is a picture of handsome me at 3 months. Even from a very young age, I like to pose for da camera. You can also see that I was born with amber eyes, but they changed to a very nice almost turquoise-green. Mommy says I was only 3 lbs then. Being a strong and robust 13 lbs, I can hardly believe it!

Baby Week: My blurpy sister wants to say hi to you

Here is our blurpy little sister, still in mommy's tummy at 29 weeks.

Mommy and daddy told us they went to a "tree-dee" clinic to get this pictures. They had to go twice, coz our blurpy sister was sleeping the 1st time and refused to cooperate. We cannot say that we blame her at all. The 2nd time, she finally decided that she'd show her face. She was smiling and (in this picture) laughing too, so I guess she wasn't TOO upset that mommy walking around and jiggling her tummy to get her to move.

It was prettty amazing to see our blurpy sister so soon!! We asked when she could come home and play with us and mommy said that she was still a couple of months away from coming home. Just like a kitten! We like her more and more.

Remebering our big sis angel kitty

Today, we are remembering Missy. We have never actually met her, but we understand that she was a big part of Mommy's life. She was Mommy's first kitty.


Although she has been in kitty heaven for 3 years now, Mommy still misses her like it was yesterday. She doesn't cry anymore, like last year, but she is still very, very sad. She and Missy had a special connection, which was taken away when Missy was only 4 years old. She only lived with Mommy for 3 years, but Mommy cherishes those years as deeply as if it was a lifetime together.

So, today, we are taking a break from fun and games to reflect on our big sis angel kitty and remember her short but devoted life:

Our Blurpy Sibling is....

...a baby girl!!

Mommy had a 19 week u/s on Monday morning, and tho it's not 100%, they seemed pretty sure it's a girl blurpy, just like kimo and sabi's blurpy sister.

I am so happy that I am going to have a blurpy sister. I *love* my big sis Casey, and so it's very cool to have another new sister to play with!

I want to show you pictures of my new blurpy sister, but mommy and daddy is away at gma's house right now! Do you want to come over here and party?? :D

We're back...again!

Back in June, we thought we were finally back and visiting our old furriends and blogging. But then mommy showed us this:

She and daddy were smiling their heads off, and then we went through a terrible time of being ignored. Mommy started eating and sleeping all the time, while daddy was always in the basement making terrible noise! We started complaining that we were being ignored, so Gma J and her fiance P decided to come out EVERY weekend to visit us. They were ok, I guess, but Donny and Casey didn't like them at first. P always went to the basement with daddy to make even more terrible noise. Gma J was very nice tho, b/c she let us outside with her all the time.

One day, mommy was very happy and told us we would have a blurpy sibling:

Mommy is going in tomorrow morning for the detailed u/s. She is now 19.5 wks along. This is the one that tells her if it's a boy or girl! I'm kinda hoping it's a girl, like me; Donny thinks a boy would be fun; and Casey doesn't care, she loves all kids!

These days, mommy is looking scarey-big, but she is in love with her "bump":

We don't really know what it all means, but we kinda think it will be fun, right....right???

So after all this time, we finally convinced mommy that it's time we get back to blogging. Isis did a pawesome job with her investigative reporting, don't you think?? I can't wait until CNN hires her!

We still dunno how frequent our posts will be...but we are pretty darn sure we gonna make mommy post more frequently than A FEW MONTHS at a time! At the very least, we want to share the latest u/s pictures very very soon.

Twosome Tuesday of a different kind

[Donny:] That's right...it's me and my big sis Casey just hangin' out together.

Sometimes we will play chase. She will EVEN let me chase her around - no hissing and no growling. How pawesome is that!!

Sometimes...sometimes, she will even groom me. A little. Just tucking a few bunches of stray furs on me here and there.

She has finally accepted me. Hooray!

(Manly) Mancat Monday

[Donny:] You may have been wondering what I have been doing with myself for the past six weeks...

WELL.....I have been secretly training so that I can bulk up and look like a truly manly mancat...more like my sensei Mickey Mantle, and a little less like some scrawny teenager.

I worked VERY hard. I chase the "red dot" all the time for cardio. I play-fight with Casey and Marie for resistance training. I practice lots and lots of yoga for core strength and de-stress, thanks to yoga kitty guru Skittles. I carry ANY string in my mouth, regardless of whatever is attached to it: feather, toy, block, queen size blanket from mommy's and daddy's bed.....



How do you like my results of six weeks of training? Do you think this new burly look makes me look more manly? I hope so!

...aaaaaaaaaaaand We're Back!!!

[Marie:] I was so happy to know we're finally free to blog again, I couldn't wait to run up and run up and give mommy headbutts and purrs!!

Mommy says she's very sorry about us being away for over six weeks...but she said that between the work and her many other duties at home and away, we won't blog as often as we used to. However...she did say that she will let us blog whenever possible so that we don't neglect our furriends and make them sad.

So we can't wait to chat with y'all again! Hope you have a beautiful Sunday!

The most wonderful thing in the world is to have furriends.

Thank you for thinking of me and Donny and Casey. We are all okay, spring is here, the pigeons are coming to visit us, and Casey is even willing to play with us! Our mommy's mommy and our mommy's sister came to visit us all, and I had a grand time with them! Donny and Casey were scared until the last day when they finally decided that they weren't going to have them for lunch and were so kind as to let gma and auntie pet them.

Unfortunately, the sad reason we have not been online for sooooooo long is that we have a VERY BAD MOMMY. She claims that work and family visits and house cleaning and miscellaneous things to do have kept her way too busy to come online.

We disagree: for example, the time she spends vacuuming could have been very well spent on getting us online. We like chasing dust bunnies and we hate that "vacuum monster" anyways.

We all miss you very much, and mommy says it probably won't be until June when we get to go online regularly again. Phooey!!

Take care my furriends, and while we won't be able to post online, we hope to visit y'all when we can!

Sorry we haven't been around.

My furriends, so sorry we have not been online. We are all ok. Mommy's been busy and then once again - she and daddy took off to celebrate Chinese New Year with mommy's family in Vancouver.

Although I don't particularly like to be a lapcat or be picked up and cuddled by humans...I miss mommy and daddy the most. I have been velcro'd to mommy's or daddy's leg whenever possible today.

Casey only wanted a lot of head rubs whenever she wanted it and Donny was just being himself: whiny, bossy, and scared-y.

Anyways, mommy says that her job duties have changed, so she'll be a lot busier, but she'll let us post online whenever she can.

I hope so!!

Brrrr! It's toooooooooo cold today! It was -49 deg C with the windchill this morning, so Donny and I made sure to curl up together and glue ourselves to mommy for warmth! Hehehe....

How I got my Real Name: I was named after Marie Osmond, as I was adopted with my littermate bro Donny at the same time. I was called the Defender as I demonstrated my aggressive ability to fight for my house and home! First, I chased a visiting aunt and uncle's 8 month old puppy through the house...then I told off one of the visiting cats sitting just outside my window by a lot of growling and hissing. My mommy called me the Defender, and the name just stuck.

Nicknames I don't like: the Manipulator, Bad Girl.

My mommy is a real meanie when it comes to Temptations...she only lets us have 2-3 of them each a day. *She* says it coz she doesn't want us to get all fat and ignore our relatively tasteless but nutritious food...*I* think it's coz she wants all them Temptations ALL for herself...!

3. Cuddle more often with Casey. I am always trying to tell her that I love her and want her to treat me as if she were my big sis littermate. I show her by rubbing myself against her and making sure my tail gets in her face as often as possible so she doesn't forget me. So far, she just seems to get rather offended and runs away most of the time...!

My Mancat Monday is Dedicated to Caesar

Caesar was a good furriend of ours, he and his sister Princess always stopped by to say hello once in a while. We are very sad that he went to the Rainbow Bridge. We have been purring for Princess and all their family. Casey has been purring extra-hard for them - she knows what it was like to lose our big sis angel kitty Missy.

Therefore, we dedicate today to the memory of our furriend Caesar, a gurreat idea which started from Kavan.
