When TED Talks, I Listen

Some of the smartest, most fascinating people in the world give mini-lectures at TED Talks or conferences (Technology, Engineering, Design) They never fail to educate, amaze, or just blow my mind. Here are two for you. The first one explains why what we eat matters in the prevention of cancer. Or, feed a cold, starve a cancer. Lucky for me, the good stuff is almost all my favorites.

The second is the scariest thing I've watched in years, worse than Food, Inc. and details how we've wrecked the Oceans. I knew the Chesapeake Bay was mostly trashed, but didn't know the extent of the Ocean's damage. The Gulf Oil spill is just icing on the crap cake. So, enjoy. Or not. But I guarantee that if you invest the 30-40 minutes total these two mini-talks take to watch, you'll learn more than you could imagine. Almost every TED Talk I've ever watched is this mind boggling. And there's bunches of them. Can you say Rabbit Hole?






Anybody want to argue global warming or drill, baby, drill now? I didn't think so.
