Miniature flower stand - Soporte de flores

I discovered the air-dry polymer clay quite recently and these flower pots are one of the first things which I made from it. I really like it because if you use molds, you can just leave the items to dry in the molds overnight.

I made the flowers from silk paper and the green leaves from papercord. When you open papercord, you get nice variegated paper strips.

The legs of the stand are made from ornate toothpicks.

Making ribbon roses - Nauharuusujen tekoa

I am making more miniature hats and I needed more embellishments for them. I bought a miniature rose maker and some ribbon from The Miniature Haberdashery (a charming shop!). I had to try a couple of times before I figured out how to make them. Different kinds of ribbons make different kinds of roses; I like organza ribbons the most.

Miniature paper flowers - Miniatyyrikukkia paperista

Our daughter has got some new paper punches and I used them for making miniature flowers. The yellow flowers are made from round pieces and the red flowers have heart shape petals.
Tyttärellämme on uusia paperileikkureita ja kokeilin niitä miniatyyrikukkien tekemiseen paperista. Keltaiset kukat on tehty pyöreistä osista ja punaisissa on sydämenmuotoiset terälehdet.

Happy Midsummer to you all!
Hyvää juhannusta kaikille!

Miniature conservatory - Minikasvihuone

This is Maria Ulriika's conservatory, one of my flea market bargains.
I have printed the flooring. The chair is ceramic and I have found it in a flea market, too.
I have made the flowers from pieces of silk flowers and from plastic miniature plant kits.

Tämä on Maria Ulriikan kasvihuone, yksi kirpputorilöydöistöni.
Lattia on printattu. Tuoli on keramiikkaa ja kirpputorilta sekin.
Kukat olen tehnyt silkkikukkien osista sekä muovisista viheraskartelutarvikkeista.
