 I finished the final Endless Spell for the Skaven army.

Island of Blood : Skaven heavy weapon teams finished !

Yesterday I finished both Skaven heavy weapon teams from the Island of Blood box.

The Poisoned Wind Mortar Weapon Team & the Warpfire Thrower Weapon Team.

I converted the Warpfire Thrower a tiny bit. I added a flame cumming out of the nozzle.

It's a piece from the Fyreslayers Hearthguard.

They're painted in the usual color-scheme for this army.

This was number 19 & 20 of July and therefor still on schedule for making 200 or + mini's.

Skaven Clanrats finished !

Today I finished 10 Skaven Clanrats.

They're the last part of the Challenge for June. I feared I wouldn't make it , but I found the time to finish with even a few days to spare.

Challenge Completed !

5 more Skaven Clanrats finished !

Yesterday i finished 5 Clanrats. These took a bit longer as i washed the armor with black wash instead of brown and had to repaint.

Skaven Rat Ogre finished !

Yesterday I finished the first Skaven Rat Ogre from the Island of blood box.

I used the same color-scheme as the clanrats with one detail changed. I divided the skin in two parts : fur and skin. The skin is the same as the clanrats and the fur is also the same except I didn't do the final highlight color , but I used the middle color to highlight the fur. So the fur looks a bit darker.

These are the first miniatures of 2015 that are finished.

SKAVEN ! 

I think this could be the army that rises to the number of Dwarves I've painted.

But could also be that I stop at the Island of Blood ones. Because otherwise I would fail my 2 & 3th goal for 2015 : Buy less miniatures !

We will see ...

 As I think of it , to create any army as big as the Dwarves would mean to violate the 2 &3th goal.

Skaven color test

So I started a new army ; the Skaven.

This is a fella of the Island of Blood set.

I tried to avoid brown because of the fact the Skaven are mostly brown.

So I used a vibrant yellow , a dirty white and a sewery green.

And I based the bases on the sewers theme with lost of goo and mold.

This will probably be the last miniature of 2014.

So the grand total stops at 210 miniatures this year.

It is almost double than the 125 miniatures I set as a goal at the beginning of this year.

Stay tuned for next year. With a few new army's. Such as the Skaven , Bretonnia and Beastmen that where lurking under the Christmas tree...
