Dookie day 4 & 5

Day 4:

Visited the Brown Brothers winery, located at Milawa.
Pretty scenery isn't it? ^^

The large tank is the tank they used to age the fortified wines.
Oak barrels to age red and white wines. Impressive!

We had the last wine tasting session here~Tasted some great wines~I dunno was it because this was the last wine tasting session, so I was more relax, or because the owner was generous enough to take out his expensive wines (when I refered to the price list, some were above $40), the wines taste really good.

Sorry, I'm not that keen to post the brown brothers winery photos...I'm more interested in foods! I wasn't feeling quite well that day ma, so I bought a vegetarian roll (yes, vegetarian, only have carrot, rockett, tomato, onion and some margarin). Guess how much it costs? $5.50! The most expensive lunch I had in Dookie, for those carrot and tomato...

AHHHHHH!!!! Everyone agrees that this is the best dinner we had in Dookie!! Main dishes: lamb, fish fillet or porterhouse steak. I just can't let go the lamb, so my friend and I decided, I would order the lamb and she would order the fish fillet so we could exchange, then we'll get the steak for second round~(because it was our last dinner in Dookie, we wanted to eat as much as possible). The lamb was delicious, but the flavour was quite heavy - it was so heavy that I couldn't taste the gravy, lol. Since this was quite heavy, and the fish fillet was really large, my friend and I was too full for the steak T.T So didn't get to try the steak...Anyway, side dishes were baked pumpkin and again potato with cheese~ohoh~~Unluckily, the baked pumpkin that I always love became the least delicious food for the dinner....Because, even the vege was yummy - zucchini. But note, it wasn't ordinary zucchini, it was zucchini with stuffings! The stuffings were similar to those in the Coles BBQ chicken~And the zucchini was just nice, not overcooked to become too soft. One word - Delicious.

There were two desserts: first one is this, cinnamon roll. Oh do you know what is the yellow cream on top? It was my beloved custard cream! OHHHHHH~~~~~~Actually, I stole this from my friend, because she was too full for dessert =p I love cinnamon, and I love custard cream. One word: HEAVEN~

The second dessert - apple puff (well it looks like a puff to me~). I took this by myself, so I chose the one with lots of custard cream, so you can't see the "real face" of the pastry. My beloved pastry + my beloved custard cream -- two words: ABOVE HEAVEN! I actually intended to get another serve after I finished this one, but my mind told me that having 2 serves of dessert is already too much. And my friends had already finish and were waiting for me. So....I just bid my farewell to the lovely desserts and went back to STUDY.....err, did I tell you that I only slept for 2 hours that day?

Day 5:

As this was the last day in Dookie, and I was going to have 2 exams, I ate as much as I could for the breakfast. I had a large bowl of cereals + a slice of bread + coffee. And, stole 2 slices of bread for my lunch~^^

Again, please bear with my chubby face. Just wanted to show that my face became red again after the wine tasting exam~

After the first exam, we had a lunch break. I had my breads stolen in the morning, and expresso. When I tried the expresso, my first reaction was: oh no, I can't decide which one is the worst beverage I had ever had in my life - the fortified wine or the expresso? Yes, it tastes really HORRIBLE.

Going home after the exam~Managed to take some photo before leaving

Someone was creative and free enough to arrange the buckets (we use the buckets to spit the wine) like this~lol~^^

Goodbye, dining hall. I'll miss your foods.

On the way to car park, I thought this botak tree looks cool~

Bah bah white sheeps in Dookie campus.

Can you see the rainbow?! Saw it when we almost reached Melbourne~^^

And some photos of the countryside:

-The End-

Dookie day 2 & 3

Err, I think I should finish off my Dookie report (as well as my wine report....>.<)

Mainly are food~

Dookie day 2:
Lunch. I dunno what they call this, but it's damn yummy~! As you know, I love pastries. And guess what's inside? CHEESE! melted cheese with mince meat~~ohoh~~ $1 for this little thing....T.T

Looks yummy doesn't it? HAH! The worst dinner I had in Dookie~ We were a bit late that day, because there was a wine tasting session after dinner time. So we thought we should just go straight away to the prac class after dinner. Main dishes that night: beef curry or this chicken. I had given up on Aussie's curry, and the chicken looked yummy, so I chose chicken for my main course. Probably because the person wanted to finish off the chicken, so I had the last two pieces of chicken (everyone only had one, but I had two). I thought I was lucky, but I was wrong. I felt sorry to my tongue and my throat. It was sort of like "marmalade chicken" (Note: marmalade is like orange flavour jam). Can you imagine your chicken tastes like marmalade? Well, probably because Chinese know chicken doesn't taste good with orange, therefore they use lemon in chicken recipe (柠檬鸡). Brilliant. After finishing the first slice, I decided to abandon the chicken skin and the "marmalade sauce", and only eat the chicken meat...T.T My friend even gave up the whole chicken. Imagine how bad it tastes. Another of my friend, having beef curry with rice for main course, also said that the curry was hopeless - sweet and not spicy at all - well, expected~Side dishes were better -- baked pumpkin with cheese (in photo: the yellow lam bek bek thing on the left). Indeed, it was super delicious! I love it so much that I wanted to get more after I finished, but, as I told you, we were late, so they had cleaned everything after I finished....T.T Ah, and also some baked potato. And vege -- boiled beans....TASTELESS! Fail! As you know, I'll always finish my vege before I start eating meat. I was already very sad after trying the beans. When start on my chicken, lagi sad....Luckily the baked pumpkin with cheese was there to save my tongue....

Vanilla mousse for dessert. Again, looks yummy doesn't it? Another fail! Excessively, intensely sweet. People like me who always crave for dessert commented that it was too sweet, imagine how sweet it could be. The strawberry not bad though~^^

Captured a photo to show you our wine tasting session. We tasted 23 wines that day....x.x

Can you see the 板 thing under my table for me to rest my legs? That's the heater!神奇~

Dookie day 3:

$2.50 chips for lunch~I'm amazed by myself - the price just poped up to my mind, I didn't even need to recall. Good memory I have~hmm, the chips was very filling. After this, I was sick of potato for the rest of days in Dookie.

Dinner for wednesday. Chicken kiev~Yum~The only flaw was that the fillings were too little compared to the chicken size. Side dishes were potatoes, and as I said, I was sick of potato, so I didn't take. Vege -- boiled carrot......lol, at least better than the beans in Tuesday dinner~

Dessert: apple crumble~I always love the toppings, but not the apple~So when I wanted to get myself the second serve, the only 2 left were all apple with little toppings T.T 无缘...

Tasting session for dessert wines and fortified wines after dinner. These three wines are three of the fortified wines that make me sick (literally sick). These three are all sherry. After got shocked by the first one, I simply put the wine into my mouth and spit out immediately, and then crap things up for my sensory evaluation....HORRIBLE TASTE. I decided that night that fortified wines were the worst beverage I had ever had in my life. I started feeling unwell in the class. After taking my shower, my muscle start aching and feeling lagi worse. Poor NoNe T.T

Dookie day 1

7 am - Eason Chan's 浮夸 woke me up.
7.30 am - My first breakfast in Dookie. Not many varieties - cereal, toast, milk, fruit juice, yougurt and fruits. I only had a bowl of cereal + a bowl of milk + banana. Stole an apple for snack at night~
9 am - 12 pm - class. Waiting for lunch

12 pm - Had roast roll for lunch. $3.50. Although its name iroll, it was actually burger.....=.= Yummy~

The mega huge roast roll.

Oh, they like to add cheese to any food you can or you can't imagine~Love it!

1 - 4.30 pm - Practical class. Tasted 13 wines. I spitted all out, but was still dizzy x.x

6 pm - Dinner time~Main course was roasted lamb, side dishes were roasted potato, sweet potato (yes, it was me. I was eating myself~), vege was boiled brocolli. Dessert - dunno what's its name, but super sweet! and some fruit salad.

I had 3 slices of lamb, some super huge brocolli, a quater of potato, a small piece of sweet potato (because I thought it was cruel to eat myself.....~)

Ahh~I love dessert! Although everyone was complaining that it was tooooooo sweet~And fruit salad, same as the one we had on Sunday night.
