Random Wax: 2017 Topps WWE Women’s Division Blaster

2017 Women's Division:  I really like the Women's Division cards so when I saw this at Dave & Adams I quickly added it to my cart back in May.  It was for the normal cost of a blaster.  Alexa Bliss is my favorite lady wrestler right now and this is a pose she likes.  I do too.  I'll mostly let the cards do the talking here but for me it's really hard to pass these up when I see them.
Each blaster comes with a relic.  This one is #/199.
I think the ladies really shine in this set.  WWE has so many good stars which makes Topps' job easy.
Charlotte Flair always has a nice presence in the Women's Division sets.

Great photos throughout.  More action shots would always be on my want list but they do have some good ones and plenty of in ring photos.
I really like that WWE Legends are a part of these sets.

I really enjoy these blasters.  Plenty of variety and fun.  I'm seriously considering a hobby box for this year's set.  I doubt I'll get one but man I want to pull the trigger.

1992 Upper Deck Baseball Box (Low Series)

1992 Upper Deck Baseball: This was part of that Dave & Adams purchase a while back. This set is pretty affordable but offers up really good quality cards and photos.  I think the '91 Upper Deck are my favorites but these are right there with them.  Nice McGwire card and photo to add to my fledgling Mac collection.
That Manny is one of the big rookie cards from this set.  That Thome picture is great.  Love pulling a Pedro Martinez card any day of the week.
The Diamond Skills cards were pretty cool and give us a great Rickey Henderson card as the Best Baserunner.  Jim Abbott as the Best Leftey surprised me a bit until I looked up his stats.  Darn good year in 91 - 18-11, 2.89, 5CG, 243IP,
Oh to be Eric Davis cool...
There are so many stars and Hall of Famers in this set which helps make it a ton of fun to bust.
Wild eyed Randy Johnson and Greg Maddux covering first, expertly I assume, both seem appropriate.
 That smile!
Some PC guys for me. Think this is the night after Tawney Kitaen hit Chuck Finley with her stiletto heel?

The Crime Dog!  The hologram cards scan pretty well and were always nice pulls.  This was a great box and so much fun.  I'll throw more photos in here at the end just for the fun factor.

BREAKDOWN:
540 – Total Cards
46 – Prospect 92
18 – Diamond Skills
18 – Star Rookie
7 - Checklist
6 – Holograms
3 – Bloodlines
1 – SP
1 – Stay In School
Two cool cards and that Deion is an SP insert as well as a favorite of mine.

 Great photography throughout the set.

Many of the photos on the back were as good if not better than the fronts.

He really looks like "Rock" Raines here.

1993 Fleer Flair Box

1993 Fleer Flair Baseball:  I just picked this up from Dave & Adams and couldn't be happier.  This set was one of the first premium sets out there and I was a big fan when it came out.  I just couldn't really afford it back in the day.  When I saw it on the site I didn't hesitate to put it in my cart.  These are on a very thick card stock and the double photos really work well.  We'll kick it off with Randy Johnson and a good photo catching the intensity on his face as he delivers a pitch.
Each pack was actually a small box that was then wrapped in plastic.  It really added to what put these above the rest back in the day.  I don't think I ever actually purchased a pack before.  I'm pretty sure I only got singles.
There were plenty of really good photos all around on these cards.  Sometimes you liked the one faded into the background better like that Dave Stewart shot.
The only inserts were these Wave of the Future cards.  I was lucky enough to pull a Mike Piazza.  He had a base card as well.  They even made the checklists cool.  There are photos like this on both sides of the checklist cards.
This is definitely a set where I could show off most of the cards I pulled.  I've kept it pretty high level here and stuck to mostly the stars.  This was so much fun and I'm very happy with my pull.  I was worried about the cards sticking since they are glossy but zero issues with that.
These guys all became key players for the Red Sox '04 Championship run.  The card backs had yet another photo on it.  These really are cool cards and this set will always have a soft spot in my collecting heart.

BREAKDOWN:
144 – Total Cards
4 - Checklist
4 – Wave of the Future
