Another Challenge Combo....

With this card I have combined the Papertake Weekly theme with the Friday Sketchers sketch. I have used one of the Gorjuss Girls designed by Suzanne Woolcott for Sugar Nellie. She has been coloured with Distress Inks. The papers are PaperMania and My Minds Eye, the ribbon is Stampin' Up Choc Chip Taffeta, and I have used a Hero Arts swirl stamp that I got from Sir Stampalot yesterday. Finally I added a Prima Belle Fleur, some bling to the swirl and a sentiment by Printworks.

Below is a picture of the decorated inside....using just the scraps of the papers I used and a Prima flower.

I do love to combine themes and sketches....Thanks to both DT's for the inspiration. If you haven't already, go and check out the two blogs.....the link is to the right>>>>>>

Daring Cardmakers "Oriental Splendour"

This week over on the Daring Cardmakers Challenge Blog the theme is "Oriental Splendour", make an oriental card without using red or black.

For my card I have used three japanese dolls from the 2009 Hero Arts Debut set, and they have been coloured with distress inks using the following colours...
Tattered Rose (Skin)
Worn Lipstick (Kimono's and Accessories)

The papers are by SEI "Chocolat range that came in my February ScrapaGoGo kit, as was the ribbon. I have also added a sentiment by Printworks, a heart pin and some Stampin' Up Choc Chip Taffeta.

I really love these Hero Arts stamps as they remind me so much of my Momiji dolls. Check out the challenge this week, the DT cards are well worth a look....so thanks ladies.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 21 "Lim's Sketch"

This week over on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog a sketch has been provided by Lim. For my card I have used a hAnglar & stAnglar image coloured with ProMarkers using the following colours...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Pastel Yellow/Mustard/Gold (Hair)
Cornflower (Dungarees)
Moss (T-Shirt & Shoes)
Ice Grey 1 (Socks)
Cinnamon (Basket)
Maroon/Sandstone (Bottle)
Turquoise/Sandstone (Blankets)
The papers are October Afternoon "Daydreams" and Scenic Route "Sumner". The circles were cut with my nestabilities and I have added Doodlebug glitter brads and some bling. I have finished the card off with a sentiment by Printworks.

Georgia and I were just getting ready to head to school when my mobile rang, it was my friend (one of the parents of Georgia's friend) who is a Governor at the school...and now the Schools Office Manager...to say that the school is closed today as they have no water and don't know when it will be back on. Georgia thinks it is great as she gets the day off school...but it screws up my working day and now I have to contact my client and rearrange. Not so easy when you have half term in the month meaning there is already a week when you are not working....oh well...all good fun, and now we can go to HobbyCraft.

Tomorrow we are planning a visit to Sacrewell Farm out near Peterborough....Pumpkin picking. I thought it would be a fab photo opportunity and fun at the same time.

More Cards from my Crafting Weekend....

In between scrapping and finishing off a mini book, I have been making the odd card. This one uses the remains of the Fancy Pants "Simplicity" papers that I used the other day. This time I have added an image by hAnglar & stAnglar coloured with ProMarkers using the following colours...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Cocoa/Umber (Hair)
Turquoise (Jacket)
Magenta (Dress)
Lime Green (Under Skirt)
Sandstone (Tag)
Cocoa (Shoes)
The flowers are Prima Painterly Petals and the ribbon is from HobbyCraft. I have finished off by using a Printworks stamp, stamped into the tag the girl is holding and also adding a stab made with my SU punch and stamping onto that. I have also added Sakura clear glitter gel pen to her hair and Stickes to the centre of the flowers.

Here is another I made today using Drean Street "Hugs n Kisses" papers with a Whiff of Joy stamp "Melinda Blowing Kisses". The image has been coloured with ProMarkers using the following colours...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Cocoa/Umber (Hair)
Pastel Green/Turquoise (Jeans)
pastel Green (Hairband)
Rose Pink (Top)
Magenta (Hearts)
Again I have used the Prima Painterly Petals flowers with added Stickles to the centre and petals....with a touch of bling to finish...I do love these colours, they are so vibrant and gorgeous.

Ismaki Challenge 33 by Beatrix

This week over on the Ismaki Blog the sketch has been provided by the lovely Beatrix. She also gave us the option of using leaves, and for the first time ever, I have managed to add the option.

For my card I have used October Afternoon "Country Fayre" papers, from October 2007 ScrapaGoGo Kit....and lush the kit was, not difficult with these gorgeous papers. I have used one of my new hAnglar & stAnglar Winter Club Kit stamps and coloured her with ProMarkers as follows...
Ivory/Blush (Skin)
Cocoa (Hair)
Maroon/Sandstone (Scarf/Hat/Dress)
Umber/Maroon (Shoes)
Spice (Basket)
Ruby (Hearts)

I have also added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to the hair and hearts. The ribbon is by American Craft and the flowers are by Prima....cannot believe I actually used FIVE without hyper-ventilating...LOL, under the top flower stack I have added a Maya Road charm that says "love". Finally I have finished it off with a sentiment by Printworks that I got at Ally Pally from Stamp Addicts, punched out with a circle punch and chalked with a little Sakura glitter gel pen as a finishing touch.

Check out the Ismaki Blog, there are cards from some very talented International card makers.
