CHAOS!!!Moving (houses)...new store...boxes and boxes galore!!!

Wowza... who would have thought that we would have sold our house in 2 weeks, bought a new house, moved in 4 weeks, and, and, opened another store as well. Although I am ready to check in to the funny farm, there is something absolutely exciting about all of this chaos!!!
The wonderful thing about moving is that you find items and purchases that I had long ago forgot about...like the numerous creches that I put in the store. OR the estate sale purchases that just got shoved in to a closet in the 3200 square foot house, never to be seen again (until this last month!).
And, all of my vintage supplies for decoupaging and found object art have been thrown in boxes and moved to the new store. After all, I will be spending a gob of time there, and I figure that I can use the storage area for my baubles and my desk for creating...therefore creating a fun work space at the store. AND...I have so much more than I remember having, so a lot of my vintage bits and baubles will get bagged up for sale!!!
Of course, this is all a work in progress. After all, I am still trying to unpack the 40 or so boxes that I still have left to unpack. I am certain to find so many more treasures in them...and as I do I am certainly going to be filling up both stores with the many treasures that I am finding!!!
One of the pics that I am posting is of one of the basement rooms. Just full of boxes. And I am sure some of them are packed to the top with treasures!!! The other pictures are just some of the treasures that I found that I put in the Fremont store!
Since this house is only 12oo square feet with a big basement, we are purging so many things.
I should be able to fill the stores for a couple of months. at least!

SALE FINDS SATURDAY MORN

Just for today, I thought that I would sleep in...but then my husband ran in to the bedroom, where I lazily opened my eyes and"NO"!!!! He said get up, get your clothes on...there is a sale around the corner and they have "old" things!!! So, I threw some clothes on and ran out the door...so much for a lazy morning!
Anyhoo, here are some pics of my finds- yes- that is an antique velvet box, intact mirror on top and lining the bottom, with an adorable and beautiful label inside the lid. It cost all of 50 cents, and is the start of what I can only imagine to be a "new" collection!!! The buttons are to die for, the ladies gloves with pearls- so cute!!! And the little bitty statues are wonderful! I am sure that some of these items will end up in the Sellwood store, and also in the new store! If you missed the last blog, we are opening a new store on Nov. 1st at 4417 NE Fremont!!! We are so excited, scared and happy that we are opening another store!
And for those of you following my personal life, we have sold our house (knock on wood, I don't have check in hand yet) and are moving out by Oct. 24th!!!! We have found another teeny tiny house not far from the Fremont store, and well, I am up to my neck in boxes, packing, buying for both stores...well, you can imagine the rest!!
will post pics of the new store next week- befores and afters (we are painting right now!)
Enjoy fall!!

ALL MY FAVORITE THINGS STORE NUMBER 2

It is official! In these crazy times, my husband and I signed another lease for another storefront, this one in the NE Fremont area of shops! Of course, the stock market plunged...the house is on the market...and my life is just sooooooooooo crazy!!! YEAH!)
I don't have pics yet, can't even remember the address (the contract with the info is in the house somewhere!) We will have the keys on the 1st of October, and I will take pics of the empty space and the storefront. We know that we will be painting, spackling, and shopping til we drop!
The Sellwood store is still doing good, with still the nicest landlord in the whole world! Lot of new furniture is headed over there on Wednesday.
I am really thinking that I might want to consign some furniture in the new store, to fill the place up for a while. If interested, please let me know (just respond in the blog!).
I am so excited, I can hardly sleep. I will keep you posted on the Grand Opening date, and how we are progressing.
